My GTS should be done this week, and Im going to order a Raptor shiftlight for it. I was just wondering if anyone has a location that they have installed a Raptor or another small LED shiftlight in that they were happy with.

I don't use a shift light on my street cars or my Dragster. Even though in the TAD I shift twice on the run. I shift by FEEL...because my eyes are focused down the track.
You may wanna place the shift light in a place that you'll see the illumination in your peripheral vision but not in your direct line of sight. Say a lil off to the left or right...Good luck.
I actually had the Raptor in the air vent on the Cobra, and it worked out well. The raptor is very bright. I was just wondering if any of the guys had a trick out of the way place specific on the Gen 1-2s.
And I think Im going to definately need the light, since to me the tach and the speedo are on the wrong sides, as my left arm seems to obstruct the view of my tach.
The 2 locations I've seen are on top of the steering wheel, and inside one of the air conditioning ducts. If it's in the latter, you don't even know it's there until you light it up and the LEDs are bright enough to catch your attention even in broad daylight.
When I've inquired about this on both boards in the past, inevitably a recommendation for an audible shift alert comes about. If you're interested in that you can probably find info on it using the search feature.
There was a thread within the last couple of months about this. One of the replies had a video of a shiftlight in the left air vent if I remember correctly.

I have decided to make no future moves without asking myself, "what would sonofanamedropper do?" Accordingly, I am tearing the shift lights out of all my vehicles before Tiger Woods gets here for lunch.
