Upon arriving in the US, Heffner's new crew of engineers untangled themselves from expedited crates full of packing peanuts and started work:

too funny!

It was not so long ago migrants came to the USA on a dream for a better life, and arrived with not much more than that. They didn't have any assurance of success, nor did they have anything close to a promise of a business partnership when they got there. They recklessly left what they knew to start a knew life.

Today you call these dreamers your forefathers.

Today we are considered an idiot if we don't have everything in triplicate and determined between attorneys.

Frankly I believe that if a mans word won't work, neither will a contract. Mark and I believed we had valid reasons to trust what had been agreed upon. Business people that were worth a lot more than we were thought it was a good plan, one told us they would back us and to go. Heffner said come, and that he couldn't wait to get started. We went only to find a very unlevel playing field, the cards stacked against us, and Jason holding the aces.

That is ok now, it was for the best no doubt about it for all parties. But now the story has been told, and I can be done with the issue forever.

The bottom line for tuners in my mind is to say what you mean and mean what you say. If you promise something to a customer, deliver it, don't tell them you will take care of them then do nothing. And, when you deal with cars capable of the speeds a twin turbo V10 is - do not take shortcuts. Build your customers the best platform/foundation possible within the customers budget, price it so that quality is not compromised. Consider NDT (non destructive testing) to ensure parts integrity and experimenting on your own cars instead of your customers, and make sure the tune includes being able to start hot, and run smooth in varying real world conditions. And place and connect things for the least fire risk. Insulate the heat.

If all this was done to a high standard, there'd be less problems. I for one would have never said anything, this thread would not exist. Afterall, despite the fact I was not impressed with the quality, the cars were still good cars compared to what else was available back then, and I was still referring work there to honor my agreement with Jason long after I left. Long after. It was the treatment of 3 out of 3 buddies that got me to talk.

Naysayers can mock all you want, we still made our point. It is made, and I am done. I won't be back on this thread.

Heffner can get on with his life and I'll get on with mine.

Ugh, I believe it was your word that wasn't valid. You turned out to be a nutjob, and your "engineer" had a nut-job.

Due to a severe case of peanut envy, Jason Heffner had no choice but to let his gargantuan employee go.

Attempting to play on the peanut gallery's emotions, the wronged took a page from Marsha Mott Jordan and attempted his own reconciliation with the general populace.

For the children. Only for the children.

Not to make light of the situation, but couldn't Marsha find someone a little more qualified to illustrate her story? I know Dr. Suess is hard to find, but how about a few art school graduates?

It seems kind of low budget to use critically ill children, I think taiwanese kids have a much better work ethic and if you can sow Nikes you can definitely illustrate a book.

It's laughable and somewhat insulting that you would compare your fraudulent effort to come to this country with those proud people that came before. You said yourself they had no promise of a business partnership, yet they came with their integrity and honesty and made the most of nothing. You came with promises based on what capabilities you and the inginear had sold Jason over the phone and computer, little if any of which you could deliver. You couldn't make it, and now choose to put the blame on someone who has proven themselves over time. Your credibility is shot yet you still think you have some support for your stories.

I also can't believe you played the old 'there are many behind the scenes PM'ing me supporting my side of the issues, but they don't want to say anything publicly' card.

A mediocre drama at best. A real drama might have included some substantiation for your side besides Krazy who is funding 'projects' with a competitor, and who once claimed he had four Heffner mobiles that he loved when in reality he only had two, and a goofy peanut mechanic who seems as delusional as you. I'm out too, but I'll bet your not, since you've been out several times in this thread already only to return for further embarrassment.

Halfwit,

How many more times are you going to put the back of your hand to your forehead, turn your head away and sigh "I am done with this thread, I have said my piece". Stop telling us you're going to go away, and just fuckin' leave already. Nobody likes you, nobody wants you and nobody really gives a crap about your would-be selfless sacrifice to protect us all. You know why? Because everyone sees the truth - which is that you're a goddamn fruitcake nutjob who BSed your way into Heffners shop, got tossed out when it became clear you BSed your way into the job and now you choose to 'air your greivances'. The only thing we don't know is why you chose this time to do so? You said you "had enough" in the thread where "Lonely K&N" was giving people some crap - so my questions are who the fuck are you that you try to align yourself with the anti-K&N-crowd (whoever you define that camp to be). Are you just nutswinging or are you trying to ingratiate yourself to your next victims? Maybe you're hoping they will fund your R&D on your super-secret-squirrel water engine based on secret Nazi WWII water technology for "massive power gains". Your story, it's timing and it's purpose are very suspicious. It's all very fishy and stinks like rancid peanuts. If only we had a peanut engineer....

It's insulting that you would even want to compare yourself to genuine hard working people who came here for a better life. The difference between you and them is they didn't promise the indians how awesome they were at taming horses, building teepee's and hunting mexicans. But their net effect on the indians was about the same as your net effect on Heffner's business would have been if he didn't recognize you as a loony moonbat and toss your unskilled, oversold, BSing, inept, broke-ass, loser-at-life ass da' fuck out!

As for what is considered an idiot - the answer is that you are. You are an idiot because you lied to Heffner about your experience, you lied about your abilities, you got him to agree to your BSed little plan in an effort to horn in on his business. Then you brought your friend the peanut man along with you on your little journey of bullshit. Unfortunately the bill of goods you sold was *so far* from reality that it was found out pretty quickly, and you got tossed out on your ass.

I agree a man's word is his word. And your word to him was that you had experience growing businesses and were a high-level CFO guy who would be able to grow his business into the stratosphere. The reality was you are are crazy nutjob who claims to know 3 people in NZ who built engines that run on plain old tap water, but these people disappeared "mysteriously" because the government and big corporations. You are an inept buffon in business who thought the way to grow the business was to make $250,000 Vipers where you stripped the cars down to nothing and then built the engines, and that spending $100k on 4-valve cylinder heads with a wholesale cost of $10k/each was a viable business idea when developed and sold for a car that was out of production and had a very very limited market. You're a failure in business as much as a failure in life. THAT is why you never achieved anything prior to working with Jason and THAT is why Jason booted your ass out. What's more likely you halfwit, that you are a brilliant businessman who has simply been stymied at every turn by people who haven't recognized your brilliance, or that you just don't know jack shit about business and tuning cars, and THAT is why you've never been anything resembling successful in your life, and despite your BS salesmanship job on a guy who HAS been that successful, he discovered your BS and tossed your ass out before you sunk him.

You are welcome to go through life blissfully ignorant that YOU ARE THE WEAKEST LINK. YOU ARE THE PROBLEM. You are the reason you have failed at everything. You are the reason nothing ever comes together. You are the reason your plans fall apart, you cretin.

You're welcome to keep blaming everyone else for it - but it's YOU. Thats why you are a conspiracy theorist nutjob. Because the alternative would be to admit the problem lies with YOU. It's easier for you to believe a string of completely implausible and outright impossible ideas than it is to think you could possibly be wrong. You are a stubborn oaf who doesn't know 1% of what he thinks he knows. That's why you have never succeeded in anything, because people have recognized your arrogance, your lack of knowledge, and your inability to recognize any flaw in yourself and they have contained you in low-level (and low paying) jobs where you cannot do any damage to the collective. You're the choleric mouse in the lab - a whacked out sycophant that for reasons presumably of charity, wasn't fired from every job he ever had. Before you invent a new theory about Heffner wanting to steal your water engine idea, or the government androids at customs scanning you while you didn't have your tinfoil hat on at the border check-in and making Heff can your ass, you ought to look in the damn mirror. You have some messed up wiring in your head - you're a loon! A moonbat and a nutjob and an utter disgrace to yourself. And you are a devious scumbag for BSing your way into Heff's shop, for BSing your way into this country, for BSing your friend into the same situation, and for trying to BS everyone on this board into harming Heff's business. You are the lowest of the low - a couldn't-do-it never-was who wasn't fit to ride the jock of a guy who could, and tried to drag him into your cesspool of life to make yourself feel better.

I agree with you on one thing though - it was selfless of you to disclose this story for us all. But not in the way you think... it didn't serve so much as a warning as it did hilarious entertainment for us all. And whenever I screw anything up in my life, I will always be able to stop, take a moment, smile, and think "at least I am not Barry the Halfwit".

Thanks buddy - for solidifying your place at the bottom of the totem pole, and bumping us all up a spot, no matter how low we may be.

....but I am sure you really did leave this thread, despite it being the 4th or 5th time you said you were going to do so, and so I won't get my hopes up that you actually will this time.
