owner meeting the owner of the shop at a car show...both
became freinds and the car owner became comfortable
with the shop owner and asked him to CHANGE THE OIL....

Yes flew in to drive it home same way I did with twin turbo gallardo #1.
This car had a defective turbo which failed 425 miles into tirp.
It simply stopped providing boost. No BIG deal drove it back to Sartasota without incident.

btw - street friendly turbos last for many years. Their failure can typically be put down to oiling issues or some other problem. They are so precisely made, their failure rate when put into a good system with excellent oiling is VERY low. Trucks run them under high boost for hundreds of thousands of miles, car ones seldom see boost.
thnkBig can share if he wants to how long one of his turbos lasted.
So Wayne, glad you got looked after better than my buddies did, however maybe you shouldn't be so quick to blame Garrett. Turbos are NOT unreliable, and faults with their manufacture are rare. Many OEM's around the world run them with large warrantys.

I have put over 5k miles on my TTG in the last year and it has performed flawlessly. Besides taking third place in the C$D 200mph shootout(where two of five contestants broke!!), I also have the fastest quarter mile time ever recorded for a Lambo.
In your baldfaced attempt to slander Heffner performance, you are also slandering/harming over a dozen very happy TTG owners. Did you ever stop to think that the rumour mongering can hurt us as well, like say resale values, when its time to sell our cars???
I would advise every member here on Viper alley to go to lambopower.com and do a search for TT Gallardos. You will only find estatic owners and plenty of vids of TTGallardos at play. For you power junkies, go to the vbox thread!!

But this statement about TT's reliabilty and Heffners character
has certainly gotten me fired up.
I put 14000 miles on the first Heffner twin turbo gallardo. No turbo
problems with that car or any other issues for that matter. The new owner has put another 5000 miles on it and sent it to Heffner for increased boost package.
Turbos rarely fail. I 've put 2000 VERY HARD miles on this one and I'm not concerned.
WHAT OTHER TUNNER GIVES A 1 Year warranty on the motor after such erxtreme modification???? I don't KNOW OF ANY.

By the way I was doing Vipers Long before the Gallardos. I owned a nitrous 96 GTS TNT car.

For the record, Jason has gone above and beyond what he "had to do", in regards to solving any minor issues I've had with my Heffner TT. And I would bet I've put more miles on my car than some Tuners customers...COMBINED.

I've found in my lifetime that there is a little truth in every lie, and often bullshitters just embellish the hell out of what they actually did and lead people to believe it was something much greater, yet in their own warped mind they still think they were honest. For example, if you swept the floors at Harvard but told us about the "4 years you spent at Harvard" - it may have an element of truth, but is still deceit considering you are trying to foster an impression in people's minds while knowing the impression is a lie.
So when someone calls into doubt your CFO-level skills and you reply with "Goldman Sachs seemed happy" - you're implying that you were a CFO at that level. That is clearly untrue. More likely you were the CFO of the local burger joint. I've never known a CFO to have such a complete absence of any sort of business and financial sense as you, and I've never known a CFO of any decent sized company who isn't pulling down a very nice 6-figure salary. I don't know of any CFO who would fly to another country on borrowed money that they only were able to scrape enough of together to last them 5 weeks.
