Why do some Viper owners have to make the rest look bad by ricing out their rides?
What makes a guy think that his nice Dodge Viper (one of the best body designs to come out of Detroit in the past 30 years) would be perfect if only it had...
1) A bunch of extra vents on the hoo
2) Chrome side sills
3) Tons of interior accessory junk like metal knobs and color accents everywhere
3) Various other bullshit tacked on like wings and textured stripes and gills in the vents and other crap
It's like the Homer Simpson webpage where every animated .GIF he sees he thinks "wow thats AWESOME!" and figures that putting them all together would be even more awesome.
When you look at the interior of something like an F430 or a 599, you see how a designer with an actual design sense, an eye for quality materials and the ability to not overdo something can make an interior fabulous. When you look at what Bob the 43 year old balding middle-manager can do with his "design sense", it makes you throw up in your mouth.

I dont actually think that the hood is all that bad. I do think that the interior is a little over done though, but thats only because of the excessive usage of red. Also the engine bay looks a little colored and hes not really pulling off the chrome look. It seems like it could be an awsome car with a little work, but its definitely not going to sell for 74.5k unless some ebay goony comes along. Best of luck to the seller though.
Looks a little shoddy, especially on the interior leather work. Look at the passenger side door picture and it looks like the leather isn't as tight as it could be.
The hood also looks like it needs a little front end respray.
I agree with you guys that there's no way he'll get that much for the car. While it's far from horrific, it is terribly over done in a lot of ways that only several people could appreciate.
Clearly we are not dealing with an owner with a full deck. The entire auction is horrible...you'd think he would try to take some decent pictures...not ones that look like the car has been through WWIII and the hood has been sprayed with pelletts..."but never driven"....sure.
I also love when people supercharge and turbocharge their cars...and 9/10 when they sell them they make stupid claims like "never driven hard" "2,000 babied miles"....does anyone believe people mod these cars like this just to baby them around? They are usually beat to crap...which is why (like this one) they look like crap.
"Pulley sizes come in sizes of 10 lbs, 12 lbs, 14 lbs, 16 lbs, 18lbs.
With some of the larger pulleys, it could acheive 1500-1600 horsepower
(for that much power, some engine upgrades would be necessary, but it is easily possible.)
This beast will push limits of 900 horsepower with racing gas"
So if you go from a pulley change from 10 PSI to 18 PSI I will get 60% addl horespower? Idiots...
I see your that one and raise you this one.
