I only use the line up tool to hold the disk in, then line it up by feeling the outside of the disk in reference to the flywheel. I don't know it that will work on the twin disk.
But, if the transmission is starting to go in but then stops.....

If it's in enough to line up the splines....get some bolts in with slight pressure....then you can hook up the hyd line for the clutch and press the clutch. That frees up the disk and the trans should slide on in.

The twin discs absolutely suck to line up. I ended up removing the trans front cover and using the input shaft as a line up tool. Being as the trans cover was leaking, I had to reseal it anyway.

Try to find someone with an actual trans input shaft you can use. If not, just be careful, and do not try to draw the tranny in with the bolts.

I feel your pain. Just be careful, and you'll get through it.

Carl, this is the best advice you can get!

Call G-Force and they will sell you a viper T-56 input shaft for about $75.00.

If they do not have one, please let me know and I can send you mine to use!

Please call me today if you get a chance! Paolo

The real pisser is I have had the transmission in and out three times this last week. You see I keep getting the motor locking up when I tighten up the box.

Turns out after I spoke with the guy at SPEC that they have put the stickers on the plates the wrong way. These stickers tell you which way round to put the plates together.

I now find out they had it wrong. I cant find the tool I got with the clutch kit.

I can now reinstall the transmission and am just about ready to roll!!

Just could use the alignment tool thats all

Carl
