How do I fix this (weatherstrip)...

After unsuccessfully trying to adjust my passenger side door a section of the outside weatherstrip came off just a few miles later. It is the "C" chaped piece at the very top of the door towards the back. It has a metal clip in it too. It appears that at some point someone tried to glue it back on. If I try to reinstall it it just comes right back off.

I hope I'm explaining this right, maybe I can go get a few pics........

I have heard of a couple of people using Liquid nails and so far it's holding.

I read somewhere someone used a rivet, which of course requires removal of the inside cover. Do I have to remove the entire door panel to get the top part off?
