Corvette owner want to become a Viper Owner

Hey guys, I currently own a C6 and I've owned it for 3 years and I am interested in buying a viper now. Love the look and of course the power it puts to the ground... I want to know what are the type of vipers for example in the corvette world there is the base C6 and then the Z06... Can you guys let me know what viper u would suggest thanks

If you are looking for the best performance, hands down the 2008 ACR is the way to go. If you want the classic viper look, you can't beat a GTS or a RT/10. It's up to you. What do you want?

The RT10, GTS, and SRT are all different models as well as being from different generations.

Gen 1 = 1992-95

Gen 2 = 1996-02

Gen 3 = 2003-2006

Gen 4 = 2008-?

The 1992 RT10 which was based off of the 1989 concept car, was the only model for the first generation. The next generation brought in a new model, the GTS and the RT10 stuck around as well. The SRT-10 was introduced in 03 kicking off the 3rd gen and was the only model available during this time. Gen 4's (which you've probably been seeing a lot of in various car mags in the last year or more) are again going to be only SRT-10's. Gens 2, 3, and 4 all containted lotsa striped vipers so a striped one can be found in nearly every model. There's lots of info out there, wikipedia probably being one of the most valuable sources.

Thats just my personal opinion, the Gen 1's and II's are the best looking Vipers and since a Gen II is more reliable i would have to point you towards a Gen II

...and if you can't decide, there are other options In stock form, the SRT10 is a much better DD if thats what you are looking for (much more refined...did I just say that?) More HP, much better brakes, better handling, better instrumentation (hey look, a built in shift light). The verts like mine make it nice to drop the top..and this process takes about 10 seconds, but it suffers in the appearance department. It just looks too much like a C6. The GTS is best described as "sex on wheels", I can't drive it anywhere without receiving compliments from other drivers and the occasional glare from a jealous vette owner. In the end, just pick which one makes you the happiest and stick with it...but I would drive both before buying one...or two.

Gen 1 is fun for pure primal power and sidepipes...

Gen 2 is the appitomy of Viper experience.

Gen 1 captured the imagination...

Gen 2 kept it there.

Do your own math.

You're the one it has to add up for.

If you want a better sound system. go with a GenII. They have speakers mounted on the hood :-)

Really, you can't go wrong with a Viper, regardless of which Gen you choose.

Find a gen II with a 650 or 750 NA tune (heads, exhaust, cam etc) on it, a set of motons and a brake kit and you will never look at anther car seriously again. That set up is magic!
