I'm thinking of swapping my euro 2000 PCM for a US spec 2002 PCM, as the euro's are said to be a little restrictive and HP zapping, would it install OK and would the cam profile be the same
the euro cars dont have rear exhaust sensors, just the ones infront the cats
would i be asking for all sorts of trouble?
I would expect it not to work. Those North American rear 02 sensors are a big pain in the As. Contact DC Performance and get a custom calibrated PCM - to your specs. Or buy a tuner from them so that you can adjust your own parameters yourself.
Hey Neil, the PCM will work fine, but I would suggest getting a 96-98 PCM which don't rely on so many parameters. If you were to taek out the cats, the 96-98 PCMs do not throw codes and will give you better performance to boot. I have a 97 PCM or you can get a 96 from Sean Roe for $450. Either way, that would be the better route, but also check with Chuck T. too
Nad told me there will be a check light using the 2002 PCM, so i would need to fit the rear 02 sensors (replacing the bungs in my borla catback)
the wiring should be there coiled up by the diff. I need the cats in for a yearly government emssions test, they could be put in just for the test but more aggro since my Random Tech hi-flows are welded in
Chuck T told me while back $650 for a new US PCM, about the same cost as a DC/Roe Racing recalibration

US/Euro octane ratings are different as Sean Roe found out some years ago,
we have 95 and 97 which the viper either US spec or Euro will run fine on, i beleive our 95 is the same as your 93. We can also get 101 at a few garages near tracks.
A lot here run imported US spec vehicles no modifications are required.
I had a RT imported in from CA years ago, it ran like a dream !
