Wow...why would you do that. I wouldn't think that you're going to get that much improvement.

Awesome Dave. Now you can put that ebay chicken wire shit in there to complete the look.

Ouch. Hope it works for ya. It seems like it would lose a bunch of stability from the fascia and it would just flap back and forth.....but I'm just guessing. Let us know how it goes.

Didn't those Shelby Vipers from the mid 90s do that?

I'd be concerned about the fascia splitting from the wind and vibrations. Anxious to see the end result.. Good luck bro. Hope the end is worth the means.

I was thinking of doing the same thing, but I would have gotten a second facia to use for the sacrifice. I would like to see what the final product looks like.

A carbon fiber front fascia would've been the way to go. Less vibration in the front.
It's Sawzall spelled correctly.

Yup, that is where I got the idea.
The problem w/ the Shelby Vipers is actually that the opening was too rigid (they used fiberglass), and if you hit the bottom of the fascia it would crack.
I'm using plastic to fill the holes and will be reinforcing it with aluminum on the inside to allow it to flex but not flap. I'm hoping it will hold up OK.
later,
Dave.

lets see how finished product looks like. I am guessing you are going to have body shop patch the hole and repaint right? Man, that is one expensive gamble.
