My buddy ran 28" tall slicks on a road course, California Speedway in a stock 2002, the rear right rubbed so bad he blew the tire at 140 and put it in the wall
Road racing slicks and drag slicks are 2 completely different tires. Drag slicks will grow as much as 2 inches depending on the sidewall you get. If they don't fit lowered they probably won't work if you raise the car either. As you raise the suspension the tire moves to the front of the car. Good luck.
I've used the CCW slicks/skinnies set up, and my car is about 1.25" lower than stock. The rears are M/T 11.5x16 ET Streets. I may sell this set up soon, rears are 2 months old with 6 passes on them, and the fronts are nearly brand new as well.
I've also used the BFG drag radials (345/30/18) which are slightly taller than the 16" M/T ET streets with no rubbing issues. I think the new M/T drag radials (345/35/18) with an overall diameter a bit over 27" may work as well.

The tires you have are 26" tall.
I bought CCW Drag pack with 28" tall slicks. They came in yesterday, and I mounted one of the rears just to see what it looked like. It can barely fit my hand between the front of the fender well and the tire.
M&H Tire sells a 26x12.5x16 I am going to order next week.
Yup, that's why I said the BFG's are slightly taller (26.2"). Before I looked at the M/T specs... the 26x11.5x16 ET streets actually have the same overall diameter as the 18" BFG's.
A friend of mine runs the M&H tires on his RSI TT car, and seems to do very well, 1.3x 60 foot. He has broken a few Unitrax half shafts though...

I'm gonna be gettting some half shafts custom made. Hopefully they will hold. Then I probably gotta buy a clutch.... then probably a tranny

Joe, it was the MT Drag radial 305-45-18.. 29" tall.
That tire does not grow like a slick, and it still messed up his inner fenders pretty bad (I saw holes in them).
