What people have to understand and I think most do is when you build a race engine, that's what you have now is a race engine. Race engine are'nt built for longevity there built for speed. The pro's that race rebuild their motor's or freshen them all of the time to sustain that peak performance. The average Joe build's a race engine and either run's the shit out of it and sell's it, or they drive it a couple of time's and does'nt like the way it drive's on the street. Bottom line when you go extreme on your motor your on borrowed time.

I don't think anyone here doesn't understand that, but I would also bet the majority of the modified Vipers on this site do not have modified engines to the point of classifiny it a "race engine". To further this, I would have trouble believing a person here could think you could double the horsepower these cars put out and not have to address some maintenance issues more frequently then if stock.

What do firsthand knowledge of such negative things have you experienced?
It was a joke Kenny. Please don't reiterate it again.
I'd love to never reiterate it again, but every month for the next 13 years I'll be having a big chunk of money taken out of my retirement check. I'd love to forget what Macedo did to my Viper and how he treated me long before those 13 years pass. However, it will take Macedo becoming a man and returning my money to me, either on his own or a court order.
Time is running out for Macedo to do the right thing. VOI is coming to Detroit in just a few months and I bet there are still some Viper owners who don't know about Macedo's competence & character. There are other vehicles that Macedo does work on, too, and I bet the owners of those brands would like to know what they could be in for if they choose to have Macedo work on their vehicle.
Right now I bet the Macedos are thinking litigation - who haven't they threatened to sue yet? Me? Underground Racing? Dodgetalk.com? Viper Club of America? Joseph Dell? You? Everyone? No man? Some man? Toy man? Plant man? My ex Viper Tech? Each other? Everyone at the Alley who called Wendy a bitch or a cunt after she tried to get Joseph Dell to spread some ancient dirt she dug up? Etc. Etc. Etc.
Hey Larry & Wendy - you will have to prove I said and posted lies about you and all I have to do is prove everything I said and posted was true (and I have the proof). Did you know I would post the court records after you wasted your money and not even shed a tear when your business goes out of business? (I would be able to post it at the Viper Club of America site since Court Records are Public Domain.)
Of course if your business is going out of business before I might sue, you could sue yourselves and finally do something about that "pending litigation" you Macedos spend so much time working on at the expense of building cars right and treating your customers right.
My offer to have you return my money so I can forget I ever met you and never mention your name again is still open but time is running out fast for you. I have to go now to prepare some FYI Brochures for VOI...
You know how to contact me.

At this point the only real need for it is JD vs. UGR, but others will come about in the future no doubt.
That has been put to rest and if everyone keeps a smart head and not a smart mouth it will stay at rest. I for one look forward to getting on with the business of car/Viper threads and not the mudslinging.

As a general rule, I think any unsolicited cuntkicked whining needs to be accompanied by the posting of a judgment.
SOooo are you saying that people should just spend their hard earned money on tuners that are causing other people lots of grief because they are misled by all the nutswingers here and have nothing to balance that hype with until someone finally spends enough on lawyers to get a judgment?
What then is the point of feedback on tuners in an open forum?

To worship?
It's really simple. If everyone who got ripped off in excess of $10k sued their tuner, the bad ones would go out of business quickly. The thieves don't care much about the bellyaching on a public forum---they and their nutswingers can spin that, and you're buying them time and giving them grounds for a counterclaim while doing it. Besides, the ones that steal usually do it because they are going broke (although some are just greedy) and you don't want to be the last guy in the money line. Let's face it, no one in history has cried more on the internet about a tuner than SRK. And the only think he has to show for it is his two large handfuls of man titties.
Finally, when it comes to ACTUALLY warning the next guy, bitching and whining and bellyaching is, at the very least, taken with a grain of salt by most. Impotent bitch boys piss and moan on the internet, serious motherfuckers post a final judgment and a copy of the check (or the lien on the tuners house).
But, to answer the original question posed in this thread, the number one reason you don't hear more negative stuff about tuners posted in a public forum is <drumroll>...settlement agreements with confidentiality clauses.
I have a check from a late 2007 settlement for 10K plus $2.5K from DC (total of 12.5K). I can post possibly, but I would have to check the terms of my settlement once again, but this stems from a 2004 lawsuit. I agree, sue if it is more than a few posts but fifty thousands posts about tuner X because of Y money isn't too good for the forum. I'd also like to see the mudslinging on all sides chilled out-esp. when it is all nonsense (IMHO). I do like seeing posts with good and bad points so I can at least get an opinion to warn me or guide me to a particular tuner and or product :-)

Excellent and intelligent post Kenny, thanks.
I think that any tuner that has a need for settlement agreements with confidentiality clauses probably has that need because they have serious quality management issues if not integrity issues as well.
Integrity extends to things often overlooked - e.g. If every Viper owner that has had work done on their cars were to check all their bits and panels and intake manifolds etc were numbers matching, many would be horrified to find out they are NOT. No problem if this was cleared with you, but a problem if you were not told.
i.e. things get swapped around between customer cars in some workshops.
For the benefit of anyone reading this thread, I just got a PM thinking I possibly sued DC Performance. My suit was against Diamer Chrysler and a dealership, NOT DC Performance. I just wanted to clarify this and the lawsuit was attributed to a dealership that severely damaged my Viper during an engine swap under warranty and then basically lied to me, didn't want to make it right and laughed at me when I said fix or I sue. Poor DC got drawn in as I made a Federal case over it as they received consideration for the warranty and were a co-defendant (I actually felt bad for them). $20,000+ later in total costs for the dealership alone, I think I proved my point as I am a relentless and experienced Pro Se plaintiff. The dealership I would want to keep out of this thread really. I have a LOT of good things to say about Woodhouse (buying a car and parts/support), Tator Dodge (service in their shop and parts) and Viper Specialty Performance AKA Dan Lesser (buying and their support). Sorry for the confusion with my acronyms. Gary
