Friend went to Pinks, and they dismissed him for having too fast of a street car. Somebody on here who worked for Pinks said they would get rid of the "fast" guys b/c they were worried of Rich getting hit.

Good luck Mike! Just drove by the track yesterday and thought of staying to watch, but was on a massive road trip and wanted to get home. If I knew of this before hand, I would have stayed, been part of the pitcrew. Do the Viper family proud!
Well , I am back and it was fun. My car ran great , but they picked a 9 sec. group , so I was out. We only got 2 practice runs on friday and 2 runs to qualify on Sat. , the first run is on the lights and the second with bald boy dropping his arms and they don't give you your time on that run. I was picked along with 5 other cars out of the 400 cars there to be in the special camera lane for cars that they focused on. They also interviewed me in the pits for 30 minutes for the new Pinks All Out Takes show which is about what goes on behind the scenes. The place was packed , 400 cars and more fans than come to the IHRA nationals that run there. The other Viper that showed up had something break on the line , so I was the only one. The kids there loved my car and I let them sit in it for pics all day , both days. It was a pretty good show with a Jet car , some dragsters and junior dragsters along with some exibition classes and a wheelie car and the 400 all out cars...........
Three days for 4 passes down the strip , but we brought an RV , pit bikes and beer to kill the time , pics to come.

Sounds like you had a blast! Yea, the kids always love the viper. The red viper broke his rear diff. For the second time! He keeps taking it to some stupid shop in Corpus.. He needs to bring it to my shop. I'll fix that diff right!
Nice, sorry to hear you didn't make it in but looked like a good time at least. Looking forward to seeing more pics. If 9 sec was the winning times I should have talked Norm into entering the All Motor RT.
