Spray i raced at the one in Tucson in Nov. It was a blast, lots of cool guys. Rich the promoter is a huge Mopar guy and loves vipers. Kelly is right you just run two qual. rounds and then they pick the closest group of 16. In Tucson they picked 12.50 which really sucked. I turned the boost controller off and ran 9.89 and the second pass you dont know your time. GOOD LUCK AND BE SAFE!!!
But,,,,,, if you dont bitch slap Fag boy Christi while you are there you will be labled a pussy for eternity on here. I will see to it that a pic of him is posted on every one of your posts from now on.
What a few of these guys have been saying is true about the two runs. The only thing that really sucks about the way they do it is, if you are in the 10.00 - 10.50 class (example) and you run consistent 10.40's and someone in a throttle stopped drag car/truck that runs consistent 10.0x's races against you, you are screwed. It is off the hands of Rich and you both have to leave without the bracket head start so you are getting screwed by about 4/10. This is what happened to some of our friends on the first pinks all out where the girl in the drag truck busted everyone's ass......She was a good driver and deserved the win, but it wasn't fair for the people who were not as fast whether you leave on perfect timing or not.......
Good Luck to ya Spray and you should have fun either way....

She was also letting off and, when asked, admited it was a 9 second truck...that's why she got booted.

Hopefully there will be a bunch of 10 sec cars there to be picked for the group. I find the show funny in that most of the cars on there look like low 8 or 7 sec door slammer cars, solid rear end's ect... And they're really 12 and 11's cars when they run them. I'd like to see the look on their faces if one of the big dog 8 or 7 sec cars stepped up to the plate.
I talked to the track owner Wednesday and he said this event was shaping up to be bigger than the IHRA Nationals. The weather is going to be fantastic during the daytime, cooler at night with the attendant traction problems.
