I have a 98 RT & was looking into replacing the center sub woofer. I searched the past discussions on this & many of you replaced it with JL Audio 6WO-8 or 4 (4 ohm or 8 ohm). The mounting depth of that speaker is 3.5" & the magnet diameter is larger than most. I see it interfering with the connector for the alarm reset switch thats in the glove box. . Does it clear? Does it matter if you use a 4 or 8 ohm speaker? It is available on EBay and I just want to make sure it fits before I buy it. Thanks!
That ED is likely every bit as good as the W3 and is the same depth as the smaller JL. Mad cheap too!
Yeah I know, but I get a discount from a local buddy on JL, and I've liked JL's. I got a set of JL 12w6's taking up space right now in spare bedroom from a previous car.

Steve just take your cats off then you won't have to worry about it...

I like JL as well, but I don't think they have a sub that would work as well as the ED assuming the W3 doesn't fit. The ED is likely just as good as the W3 in terms of sound quality, extension, power handling but is about as deep as the lesser JL. It also has a 5 year warranty for that price which is pretty bitchin. I am rockin two of their thinline 10s in my car and am astonished at the quality.
