Twin Turbo Problem

Or at least I thought...My harmonic balancer walked forward due to a "loose" bolt and I ASK ANYONE OUT THERE.....How does that happen??? So Anyone have a good source for that pesky H.B. retaining bolt?
LET'S DISCUSS.

Of course my belt jumped, shredded (walked away without any damage, however) and had to stop every mile to keep my car cool on the way home. Thank goodness for cooler weather and the fact that IHOP was only 3 miles away.

Did it make a really nasty noise and scare the shit out of you when it broke?

Just wondering, I had one go out once, and it sounded nastey!

It's an easy fix and needs to be upgraded anyways.

Casey, no it did not and that baffled me. I ONLY knew because my Temps rose quickly with no other symptoms.

Known problem. Related to the cam bolt recall. I think it was actually the balancer bolt that was the problem. But know you have a scored crankshaft snout. If you hammer a balancer on it and carry on it could bite you in the future.

The recall will cover any damage, including the crankshaft and any work necessary, but only if the vehicle is covered within the recall build dates. Run it to a dealer and let them take care of it if it's covered.

Any questions, pm me.

It's a 1999 GTS , for some reason I don't think Dodge will cover an eight year old twin turbo

Make sure and pin the crank , Roe sells a pin kit. I hope you did not do any damage to the crankshaft , it would be a major pain in the ass if it is.........

He also has an 04 and an 05 srt in his sig... so don't blame me for specifics. And I can make Dodge cover pretty much wat I want.... If you know what I mean.
