A new Classified Ad has been posted to the Vipers For Sale section:
Description: I am sad to sell my 1999 Viper GTS. It is BLACK on COGNAC with ~17,500 miles. I am the second owner, purchased locally 2yrs ago. I bought it stock, but I had a vision of exactly what I wanted it to look like, and I spared no expense. Here are a list of modifcations, all installed by Chuck Tator who completely went over the car and "Tatorized" it 2yrs ago:
1) 19" Hennessey 3-piece wheels with Pilot Sports (>2000 miles on tires/wheels)
2) big brake kit front and rear
3) Eibach springs
4) Corsa exhaust
4) Randomtech high-flow cats
5) Roe smooth tubes
6) S&B air filter
7) Roe power steering vent tube
8) HID 8000K lowbeam headlights
9) various cosmetic features including:
** MGW gas cap
** MGW shift knob
** MGW license plate frame + screw kit
** Partsrack aluminum pedal covers
** exhaust trim plate
** red tail lights
** clear corner markers
** OEM chrome side emblems
** 15% professional tint sides and rear
** VCA Viper custom floor mats
** custom California Car Cover
I think this is approx $20,000 (?? money flies) in modifications. The car is in great shape. It does have a nick on the left front of the hood from a detailing mishap with the Portercable, and there is some wear on the driver's inner door panel from a chronically misaligned door with the previous owner (fixed by Tator when i bought it). As soon as I bought it, I also had Chuck Tator arrange to have the front fascia repainted for nicks, etc (that's why the first picture has no front emblem; it was later put on), but as far as I know, it's never been in an accident or had paintwork otherwise.
Black is a pain in the a$$ to maintain, and i don't have the time/energy to keep up the detailing. It's my second viper i've owned, and it's unfortunately time to move on. perhaps a third viper... gen3?!?! :)
It's a sweet car and I hate to see it go. I've never had any problems, but everyone on this board should know how strong these vipers run.
Please email with questions or more pictures or more information or whatever. no tirekickers please. thanks
