It's pretty obvious where some good locations are to jack up your car if you kinda crawl under there, in my opinion. I have jacked up many of cars, so maybe thats why... BUT, don't place the jack in a position that has plastic on it, obviously not right.... The frame rails stand out pretty well so that would be the best place. Don't forget to put a chalk block under the front tire to keep the car from rolling. If you are unsure, jack it up just a few inches and stick your head under the rear (safely) to get a better look. My car site so frigging low, I have to jack up a few centimeters on a control arm, then turn the wheel, while inserting a wooden block, then place another jack under the side of the frame in the front, then remove other jack, placing it under the center front frame area, etc... It's a puzzle on lowered cars sometimes...
Not sure about the fog light covers.... I wouldn't recommend cutting the tab, but I have never had to mess with mine.
