Newbie VIPER owner here. I just took delivery of my 1998 RT10 Viper with an RSI 700 Package. When it arrived, the battery was nearly stone dead. We jumped it (from the lugs under the hood) and it ran real rough for about a ½ hour until the computer relearned the settings. For the next week or so, it ran great! Then yesterday, I go to start my car and it farted and popped, but would not run nor idle. So because of all the wonderful posters here, I tried a few things that I learned from Viper Alley. First, I replaced the battery in the car and in the key fob. I also touched the pos and neg battery cables together (off the battery of course) to discharge and residual capacitance. I then turned the key to the run mode and pushed the throttle all the way down and back so the computer knew WOT. Jumped back in, turned the key and heard the fuel pump buzz for a second or two, then tried to start the car and same thing. It would turn over for about 2-3 seconds, then start for a second like it was running on 3 cylinders, pop and die. I tried this three times with the same result. Motor turns, pops, farts and dies. I am now out of ideas. Please help me.
Damn, overlooked that part and only saw the key fob battery change, my bad. Make sure your insurance is paid up with a good stated policy and then burn it to the ground. With the number of cars which met that fate for their old shop nobody in the insurance business will be surprised or suspicious of the claim.
I sorta thought there were some bright people here, didn't expect all this sarcasm. I have some dyno sheets and it was making some pretty good power and ran great until yesterday.

Chuck is a God with stock viper issue diagnostics or even Roe issues but when it comes to modification like these I think a telephone consult is going to be at best a good guess. He would need to see the car most likely. What management you using?
