After much agonizing, and trying to decide to "settle" for a 96 B/W GTS to do a DIY TT kit, or a Paxton build on, I ve decided to keep my 2000 Steel Grey GTS, and instead of trading mine for one of Bernies B/Ws because of the pistons, Im sending mine to Kevin to have the bottom end done along with a Paxton install.
So I get the color that I love ( all you B/W guys- no flaming, I do like the color, just not as much as steel), and a killer UGR setup as well.............Im excited and the car isnt even at UGR yet.
Exotic is picking it up sometime this week. Hoping to have it back in my garage before April 15th.

Glad I could help answer your questions Lyle, you will not be disappointed with that choice.
hell yeah! I cant wait to see the results Lyle! Good choice on getting the motor done too! I LOVE that color as well... now you will have the best of both worlds! And to think, you will be in the heart of all the chicagoland racing next summer to compete with that certain heffner tt ford GT!!!!

Congrats Lyle, you will love the build. My GTS should arrive at UGR next week. All I'm going to say is that my build will be something they have never done before.

Well since they have pretty much covered all the bases already, are they installing a Briggs & Stratton?j/k That would be something they never did before.

No, no air filters. Every well built bottom end needs some roughage if it is to run with regularity. Air filters are for sissy boys and SAE engineers with pocket protectors. No car condoms for No Man.
That is actually the only part of the build that I havent decided on yet. But I have about a month to make my decision. I will tell you that what Kevin will hook me up with them for, Im pretty sure it will happen as well. Dont want a 510 breathing through stockers, right? Just seems to add up pretty quickly........

I will tell you this much. I am having propane heaters installed in each valve cover to keep my crankcase ventilation system from freezing up in the Texas summer air. As far as I know, this has never been done before.

Not wanting to try to beat Ryans GT, not the point of my build. Im doing it for me, not to try and prove anything to anyone. I will however run him when the time presents, hes a good guy that is also not out to prove anything. Hopefully he will be able to get some traction this year.
There is one black 03 Cobra owned by a guy with a mohawk that better watch out though...............
