LEXUS wins for the 3RD year in a row and makes HISTORY. The 1st engine manufacturer to win the Daytona 24 Hour overall victory 3 years running. Next year it will be 4 in a row. Where is the overpriced POS Mercedes? MIA. Glad I have an overpriced status symbol Merc for my daily driver! NOT!!!
BTW, MAZDA, another Japanese manufacturer, won the GT Class and beat that other overpriced, German manufactured, poor performing Porsche.

DEVIL DOG..YOUR KIDDING ME RIGHT?? WTF DO YOU KNOW ABOUT CARS BRO...
Dayton really does not mean a damn thing anymore expect for the GT class. I think this year is the first year the DPs are running times that compare to the last year the Vettes ran....
And what is with the GT3 Porsches not using single lug hubs WTF???
The year the viper won it completed 2,573 miles in 24 hours avg 107 mph for the race, this year the winning DP completed 2473 in 24 hours avg 103 for the race. Eight years later and the pieces of shit are still slower than a production GT class car.

Why don't you factor in yellow flag laps and see what you get for a proper statistical analysis comparison?
NASCAR doesn't know sports car racing. With the possible exception of the Koni Challenge I don't see any excitement in Grand Am anywhere in the near future. They got a few name drivers but they're gonna have to get names like Gordon vs Alonso to make their current format exciting and that just aint gonna happen anytime soon.
They should probably turn it over to somebody who understands it better.
Too bad that the base model sled you are so damned excited about isnt even in the same gene pool as the fire breathing bohemoth that actually wins races. Sure what you've got is its a step up from a Honda Accord, but its still a cunt hair shy of being dubbed a Camry. Watching a manufacturer win a race with a car that doesnt even remotely come close to the grovery getter youve got parked in your garage just solidifies your jackassery. This may come as a surprise to you, but youre not gonna be winning any trophies with your IS350...but you MIIIGHT impress the minority of kids at the local high school whos daddys didnt actually buy a GS or an LS. You were a douche in 2001 . Looks like the last seven years havent done shit for you.

That's the truth. ALMS GT2 will be what to watch this year. The DP's have nothing on the Lemans cars. Grand Am is just another Nascar three ring circus. Lexus winning is equal to a dominant WNBA team. Great job but nobody gives a fuck.

ALMS has their own problems. Most notably that pathetic GT1 class.
The other pathetic thing is that there are more entries in the SCCA WC support races than there are in the premier race at the 12 Hours of Sebring.
Lastly, congrats to Audi and their Diesel. Now can they please take the mufflers off it so we can actually hear and feel it as it flies by? Part of the thrill of watching a machine in action is hearing it in action.
I was there to cheer on the Autometrics team from Charleston. They had 2 GT3s in the race.
I met Tom B on Friday before the Koni Challenge. His Fall Line/Playboy team looked good early on (pole) but had some fuel problems. They still managed a strong showing though. And their girls looked even better than the Crown Royal girls.
I was pulling against the Target/Telemex cars (although Scott Pruett is a class act).
I agree that Nascar has bastardized the race, but the number of cautions did slow things down significantly. The guy I went to the race with has been going since 1972 and he said that is the most he has ever seen.
Oh, and this thread's originator is a dumbass. That is all.
