You can see the slot for the cover in the first pic. The owner may have taken it out to clean the cover, as it does get dirty, and never put it back on. The slits are not molded into the bumper, thye look more like they were "dremeled" from the factory. Not very neat.

I would run out and get a pair if you're missing them. I believe without them on the car you will not be able to exceed 150MPH due to the wind resistance created by having cup holders turned sideways on the nose of the car
Look!! it had the covers stock , and when a facia gets repainted the paint will sometimes partially fill in the slots. That said , just because the facia was repainted does not mean the car is junk. We are talking about 11 or 12 year old cars that may have had rock chips fixed the proper way by repainting the facia. Hell , I did mine a couple months back and it looks great.............BTW when you put in the lens covers , be careful , really careful not to scratch the paint.

i've been shopping around for a 2nd viper gts and i've noticed that some of them are missing the clear fog lamp covers on the fascia.
I know the later years they were completely dropped by dodge, but I wasnt sure if it was an option or something for the blue & whites since I've been seeing alot of them missing these clear covers.
did all 96-97 blue & white models gts models come with them?
i'm just afraid that this might indicate a front end repair or something. so just want to make sure i'm not being overly paranoid.

It's funny that this thread just came out. I just lost one of my fog light covers on my 97 B&W the last time I was at the car wash. They looked everywhere for the dang thing, but could not find it. They sometimes fall out, it defineately does not mean the car was in an accident. I just got a new one, but while I was waiting for it, I just removed the other one as well. To be honest, I think I like the way it looks better without the lense. I may just leave them out from now on.
