I figured that being the good Christian I am, it would be a crime to not tell you what I am aware of regarding a certain thread started by the good folks in the CPE camp on their latest TT kit build. I think everyone here with a solid grasp on reality knows it is not possible to bolt on the $9,999.99 turbo kit they offer and run 1300 rwhp like some posting suggested. Should you feel differently, I suspect the odor from Paolo's nether regions has liquefied your cerebral cortex and arguing the point further is like asking a dog to not lick his scrotum.
Seems like we were all fed a large shit burger to eat on that fine winter morning when Paolo and his "partners" posted the "success" of hitting 1300 hp on some poor guy Toms engine block. I don't contest that it never happened, because I am positive it did. What I do contest is what happened next. The part CPE omitted from their glorious dyno record setting moment at PBJ. You see, upon letting off the gas on that run, quite a bit of smoke was dumping out of the exhaust on deceleration. Hence the reason for the leak down test IMMEDIATELY performed on poor Tom's engine. Not for the reasons Mr. CPE served us for ensuring no damage was done on the stock main cap'd block. Did you know that Tom?
What happened after the leakdown is the reason why I wouldn't allow CPE to change a fuse in a car let alone touch a vehicle in any way, shape or form. Paolo tossed the blame onto someone else. Call me a liar Paolo, it doesn't much matter. What does matter, is how you bilked the crowd into seeing one thing, while in reality, another was really going on. CPE blamed the Auschwitz gassing of PBJ's facility on another involved party to the build. The plain truth is that CPE is capable of taking your money, and destroying your engine, and consequently blaming it on someone else when the shit hits the fan.
Out of curiosity CPE, are you going to stand good as a tuner and pay out of your pocket to fix Toms problems. Or are you going to look towards someone else to throw under the bus. Enjoy your day folks.
CPE, THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE!!! (Albeit with a few less prospects for customers).

AE, Just to clarify, Tom was made aware of the smoking back 6 weeks ago when it started to happen.
It took Joe Donovan about 6 weeks to rotate changing the wastegate springs on Tom's car into his already existing workload.
As soon as he was ready, I drove there to swap the turbos.
The car smoked on the deceleration at PBJ's the first day the car was put on the dyno and the boost was turned above 11 PSI.
Joe Donovan removed the driver downpipe and found the turbo had more play in the shaft than it should have.
I went there and put two new turbos last friday and everything was fine as we removed the downpipes on both sides and there was no oil in the exhaust housings.
After making some more pulls, the driver turbo started to smoke again.
Before the 1300 RWHP pull, I did notice there being more than normal play on the shaft when I removed the flexible ducting. This could make the driver turbo smoke if the seal is going bad again.
There is nothing different about the oiling or turbo location from this car to Jody Gleason's car which has run 5000 miles without issue.
I have been trying to diagnose the smoking problem since I got back.
Whoever you are, you are stirring shit and have used the shitburger word before and I have a pretty good idea who you are and why you are doing this to me.

Ok, before everyone gets their panties all up in a wad let's just calm down here. I was fully aware of every incident positive or negative and was informed every step of the way. I realize there are always issues when new aftermarket or even OE systems are being installed. It's just basic engineering. BTW I am a Mechanical Engineer by education so I'm pretty knowledgeable about what goes on in a car.
There are some issues that we are working on to complete the build and we are in the middle of solving them. I don't consider it major and I'm confident that we will get to the bottom of this. We don't know exactly what the causes of these issues are but are still in the stages of investigation. So let's just put our fingers away and not point it anywhere or at anyone. Don't even try asking what these issues are because I will not address it since it's not worth my time.

lol,
The word shitburger is sure getting searched alot today.
While i do not know the specific causes on this case I have seen oil seal issues on another side mount (not CPE).
Despite the fact there are many out there reporting no problems - in my own humble opinion - I believe the dry sump is the only way to go with all low mounts for peace of mind.
While 95/100 cars apparently report no problems - I believe all side mounts are simply too low to have GUARANTEED adequate oil flow back. In some cases, for whatever reason, oil can have a problem draining back on one side and that leads to overheating of the oil and a blown seal. This is NOT a tuner issue as it could happen to anyone that mounts the turbos down the sides where the turbo oil outlets are not far from the top of the sump.
In case someone wants to point and laugh - note that - All side mounts I have seen are that low.
A scavange pump would help and be cheaper than a dry sump, but for all the work and effort to ensure it was leak proof and sealed, a dry sump is worth the extra. Just a thought that the customer may wish to consider for peace of mind. A dry sump can fit around air con and power steering etc but you do have the issue of where to fit the tank.
doing a search on shitburger doesnt make one particular user around here look good. but it can be 2 or 3 others as well......and obviously ANYONE could use that word.
Speaking of shitburgers...has anyone here ever had a burger at Sheetz (Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Ohio, North Carolina thing)? Last one I had was utter shit. Their subs are much better.

True, very true. BUT there is one pedicular scumbag that has old lady complex (can't keep a secret, loves to gossip) This one person on here that you could call and give false information to and it will eat him up till he spills the beans. The whole time being nothing but a big lie. This person has told stories that were told to him in confidence and he still repeated them. He has stabbed more people in the back than any 10 people I know put together. This person will fuck you if given the chance. So beware don't tell him anything you don't want other people to know. If you already have you better not piss him off. He is scum and sucks up to anyone who he thinks he can take advantage of. He is also a glory seeker. He tends to try and hang with the popular crowd. It makes him feel important. He is making the crowd he supports look bad because almost all accusations he makes end up a bust for him. My guess would be he was the punk kid in his school years that had to suck up to the tough guys just so he didn't get his ass kicked everyday. Ran his mouth to people when he was around the kids that could protect him. Then when they were not there he would make up shit about them just to fit in. Again he is scum.

I believe you are referring to the MTO (Made To Order) subs.
They are very good.
