I do not want to call you and idiot. It does not fit into my plan of doing what I can to provide you with a better environment, so that the past damage to your self esteem can be ameliorated, your inclination to hostiilty can be replaced with kindness, and you can become a friend to everyone.
Please, regail me with your many years old recollection of all the low wear high mileage engines you have seen that did not have an air filter on them.
To regale you with the information means I'd be divulging information to a stupid fucking filter that likely fell off a kid's honda because the zip tie wasn't tight enough. For the record, Viper engines don't wear out. They break, or they stay running. Do you see filters in marine applications? Nope. How about aviation? Zip. Snow mobiles? Zero. Filters are for daily drivers. Are they a good idea? Sure, if you run in a dusty climate, and you just want to run the fucker for 100,000 miles without opening the hood. I'm sure if Josh wanted to put a blade on his Viper and grade dirt roads, he'd consider a filter. Not you, I'm afraid. You're too small.

JID, jg01, and alternative. Losterdamus is in the middle of his install as well.
Thanks.
Without getting into all of the drama, I dont understand how 3.5 builds can give a solid reputation. It seems as if the screen names of those talking up the CPE kit arent even past/satisfied customers of CPE. What gives?
Josh is a big boy. If he does not want to use an airfilter, that is his choice.
I am sure he will keep an eye on things and do an oil analysis at each oil change. Hell, he may even do a compression and leakdown test at the same time also. These will tell the tale if any dust is getting in the engine and adding bling to his cylinder walls.
WAR MIRROR POLISHED FINISH...NOT JUST FOR THE OUTSIDE OF THE ENGINE ANY MORE

I was wondering if a protoplasm such as yourself would pick up on that. It not being a word that you're accustomed to hearing in your line of work.
Ok, lets see about your argument now.
Marine.
Snowmobiles.
Aviation. I assume you mean jets? Hot air balloons? Piston driven airplanes typically run an air filter (link below).
Snowmobiles and boats have one thing in common. Know what it is? Neither operate on land, which is commonly known as "dirt". There's no dirt in snow, nor on top of a body of water.
Many piston driven planes OTOH do have air filters. Brands such as Mooney, Cessna, Beechcraft, Piper, to name a few. Taking off from an unpaved runway stirs up a lot of dust. If you were affluent enough to own a small plane, or mechanically skilled enough to work on one, you would already know that.

I have been trying so hard to keep my mouth shut, but this is getting good.
Marine? How much dust out on the water? None. Case closed (They use screens as spark arrestors.)
Aviation? Look it up will ya.
Snowmobiles? How much fuckin dust do you see out on the trails? None. Case closed. (Exception:dirt drag sleds do run filters, last time I checked)
Carry on with the shit flinging, just watch, the wind direction has changed.
There is also Randy King, a non-internet Michigan guy, Jednli had a car (was happy with it), and there was the yellow creampuff that had the frontmount...1 bad asp is his screen name.
