thought Id throw this out there for anyone looking for a project car.... This would be an awesome platform to just build the motor, throw a G force trans and mark williams rear end in along with some big ass turbos and have the baddest gen1 around, lol
seriously, check it out... Im thinking about it, lol
you can view the free carfax and it looks really good.. serviced a lot, lots of documentation
looks like its around ATL. It honestly just looks like it needs to be detailed. Paint still shines, not sure if the front bumper needs to be repainted or just dusted off, lol.
looks like a pretty good deal if its legit. It would be a fun project car with a clean title
I'm looking at it tomorrow. It is ~3 miles from where I work. Not sure what the story is on it... but I'll find out.

Your late !!!
I looked at it earlier. It's rough and they didn't think to much of my $15,000 offer I asked what would he do and he said that listed price was it. He (mgr) said they have already fielded about 100 calls in two days. I told him I wasn't in for the 18+ price.
minuses:
It has a caved in side sill, it has been sitting in a musty basement and not started for two years. Several cracking areas in the body.
Pluses: At around 68k it may have had an Arrow rebuild. They supposedly put oil in the cylinders before starting it. They drove it to the dealership. It started fine and sounded fine for me. Wheels were decent. Tires had good tread but were harder than the wheels The top was good, the windows were hazed but appeared to be intact.
Any one needing a CHEAP Viper should be ok. I have seen some at $25k or so in great shape with reasonable miles. This dealership had quite a few old muscle type cars in the lower showroom and a few Gallardos and a F430. Nice to check all of those out.

I'm always late when 1TONY1 is around. crap! Anyway, i'll check it out anyway just b/c I have some spare time tomorrow. if 100 people have called/looked but NON have bought, then something is definitely up. 15k... that was more what i had in mind. If I take a stack of 100's, do you think that'll wake them up? Oh wait... a stack of 100's is only about 2" tall for that kind of dough. Not that impressive.

Thanks for the heads-up Tony!

You should go check it out anyway. I figure they will field another 200 plus calls wasting another 50 man hours......and then they will ship it to someone that isn't expecting that kind of car. I AM NOT saying it's not worth the money.....just not for me. The gentleman (mgr) I talked with was a super nice guy and has a long car history including being a tech. His name is Roman.
Having a 94 with almost 70k on it myself...that Viper is pretty rough. Unless you plan on gutting it and using it as a track car...I'd pass. Looks like a bunch of problems waiting to be passed on to someone else...
