Paolo, thanks for the phone call letting me know about this, that is awesome. I was stuck in denver last night for a company party and it was nice to hear about the numbers, very fucking cool
Yes, this was done with my $10K bolt-on TT system!
The car has:
1. My sidemount TT kit just like what is on Alternative's and Jody Gleason's car.
2. JM striker street heads and was running 22 PSI.
3. 80#/Hr injectors
4. Small front mount intercooler.
I'm confused. According to your website, your $10k bolt on kit does not come with any kind of upgraded fuel system, engine management, installation or tuning.
If I read correctly, this car has a fuel system, VEC and was installed and tuned by you (and PBJ) It also has Striker heads. Just trying to do the math, if I'm correct, then according to your website then that's another:
$1000 for Fuel Pressure Regulator, all Lines, Fittings, Inline Fuel Filter Extra Walbro Pump with Filter Sock
+
$400 for Polished Fuel Rails with O-ring AN fittings, All Mounting Hardware & Throttle Cable Bracket
+
$750 for 60#/Hr Injectors
+
$700 Extra Labor to Install Fuel System Upgrade:
+
$1100 for the VEC 3: Piggybacks Stock ECU(passes Emissions)
+
$4000 for the installation of Turbo System
+
$500 for the Tuning
+
$6900 for Striker heads
+
????$$$$ for install of the heads.
$10,000
$1,000
$400
$750
$700
$1100
$4000
$500
$6900
= $25,350 not including labor for installing the heads.
The numbers are impressive, but it certainly doesn't seem to have been done on anything near a $10,000 budget.
Paolo, were these numbers made on the STOCK motor/bottom-end !? I know he had bolted on a set of JM heads but was the cam and rest of the motor left untouched? Thanks..

JohnnyBravo; I could be wrong but I think your double-charging some of the items in your "list" ...for example, the VEC 3 comes with the $10K kit, and the "tuning" is including in the $4000 installation cost. Plus, the JM heads aren't anything he charges...it happend to be on the car. (IMO not need to make ~1200+rwhp). So you deduct the $1100, $500, and $6900 from your list and you have a $16.8K total cost for a 1200+RWHP system INSTALLED and TUNED* Pretty unbeatable by any other tuner performance to cost wise if you ask me...

The car already had a functioning ROE Supercharger with VEC, fuel system, and heads. The turbo system was just added and installed. Probably a 16-17k build, because I am sure certain fuel system components had to be upgraded again.

rods and pistons...no main caps. The boost will be turned down for actual driving, as the stock main caps won't hold that much power if used all the time.

I think you are missing the point here. I believe Johnny was stating that for another guy to duplicate this performance it is going to require they have some of those parts the previous setup involved (regardless of when paid for)so they must be figured in the build total. What is the warranty CPE offers on this kit other than the piping? How much did the owner of this vehicle need to pay Paolo for him to travel to PBJ? That figure needs to be added into the total if we are truly looking to compare 1 tuners build to another.
