Guys,
I have not been able to find any pics of how functional splitters attach to Get II's. I'm thinking they would have to attach to the frame somehow or they would rip off. Does the little front air dam under the fascia have to be cut off?

Any pics?

thanks,
Dave.

I have the splitter that doug posted a link to. The tabs hold it on, but without some extra adhesive there is a lot of movement. Another one of our members has the same splitter but added the cables for more support

can we get some side, or other angle shots?
it looks great from the front, I'm just not sure about the sideview

also, how far back does it go under the car?

seems like a lot for something that can be destroyed in one bad runoff/curbing

Thanks for the reply. How fast have you gone with it on the car?

I'd be worried that it could come off.
Have you noticed a difference in handling?

I'd like to learn about an adjustable one for road racing - anyone else?

thanks,
Dave.

I've gone around 155 with the splitter on. There are other members that are far more knowlegeable on the topic, but I wouldn't think the splitter is gonna realistically gonna come off if put on right. I originally had just a rear wing on the car and after putting the splitter on to balance the car it feels like it is on rails at 150.

As BOOST ALMIGHTY stated, speak to AutoForm, I'm sure they can work something out with you. They build a quality product and are open to custom work. Your other option would be to contact some of the ViperDays racers, some of those cars have the real deal however you may be looking at some serious $$.

Well,
I decided to make my own splitter out of carbon fiber. Here's a pic of the mockup and the finished piece 30 seconds after I popped it out of the mold. Need to clean up the edges and clear it, but it looks decent.

I'm going to use some 1/4" aluminum and extend the frame horns in the front of the car to the inside of the fascia, and bolt it through to the extension with diagonal shims so I can adjust the angle. Front supports too, from the bumper mounts. I'll post some more pics as the progress continues.

you may want to attah a pc of 3/16 al sheet to the bottom and extend 1/8" from the edges. I have fixed plenty of autoform splitters that get cracked from hitting stuff in the road or slamming down when the suspension unloads. Esp if the car is lowered at all.

Dave, I created mine out of 1/8" corrugated aluminum like your mockup with one major difference -

if you have the frame recall done to your car, your can extend the middle section of your cutout all the way back and "tuck it in" the triangle tabs that were welded to the frame. This actually makes the splitter more functional since you would be smoothing the airflow back another 2-3 feet. You still get access to the oil filter for changes.

Dave.
