Sound/Video of my GTS

Here's what the Corsa track exhaust sounds like on my 97 GTS with Belanger headers and no cats. Sound starts about 30 seconds into the video so wait for it.

My 9 y/o is on the camera so overlook the unsteady hand.

Thanks for the comments. I told him that someone in CA said he did a great job. He got a kick out of that.

If the weather cooperates this weekend I'll try to get some in-car and roadside passing vids under boost. I know these have all been done many times but it's all new to me and I'm loving every minute.

What visibility is your window tint at? At 1:54 or so, when your door is open, your windows are about as translucent as your door panel! Those are DARK, man!

I'd do the same thing if my windows weren't plastic and laying in my garage floor (1993 RT)...it looks great on your GTS!

Thanks. Not sure about the tint. I just bought the car and they were already tinted.

Here's a video of my Roe sc'd 98 GTS doing a burnout. Stock headers, Roe hi-flow cats and RandomTech catback. 598rwhp/644rwtq

And here's my 01 GTS with Roe sc, 708 cam, 1.7 rockers, 9-1 Ross pistons, Edelbrock headers and Corsa track exhaust/ No cats.

unfortunately, no one available to run the camera so no driving and no burnout.

I wouldn't know. All reports of drone are above 2,000rpm. Having a Roe sc with 800rwtq at 2,000rpm I normally drive well under that. Cruising in 6th the engine usually spins about 1400-1600rpm and at that rpm range the car is quiet. I still have tons of power to pass, climb hills, etc. Both cars get quite a bit louder after 2,000rpm so I don't drive it that high.

I have no drone. It's loud as hell at idle but remarkably tolerable under throttle. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not saying its quiet under throttle, just no droning.

My wifes vette has a Borla catback and it drones like crazy at 2,000 rpms, so I know what you mean.

vette???

Here's a Ted built TTI header with Flowmasters (H-pipe). 7.7L(?)/456ci. NO drone with this one. Best sounding car and exhaust system I ever built!

Only 500hp without the Nitrous.

Talking

Hennessey headers, hi-flow cats, Dynomax mufflers, Magnaflow x-pipe:
DEVILDOG'S '98 VIPER GTS HENNESSEY VENOM 650R

BTW, I had a Borla catback prior to the Venom 650R package and liked it except for the drone. I had some drone at low rpm also in the Hennessey exhaust setup, however, I added the x-pipe in the rear and it eliminated it and to me also improved the exhaust note. Before adding the x-pipe I got headaches from driving on the highway in 6th gear around 1600 rpm after just 20 minutes. If you've got drone in your system you may want to try adding an x-pipe.

Damn! Must have left about $100 worth of rubber on the road.

$100 of rubber

I think it was a lot more than that. Run craps priced out at $900+cdn wholesale. I had about 40% before that burnout and 1,000mi. later, after the crash they had about 10% left. Never expected that I'd need to check tread after each burnout. Good thing I didn't do a brakestand, I would have run out of tread on my way home?
