Map Sensor Question

I've been reading through the Paxton documentation and can't find any reference into modifying the MAP sensor signal. I understand the FMU is just a regulator, and using the splitsec for timing corrections, and activating the fuel pumps only.

What's done to prevent a MIL (check engine light) when the PCM sees 5.1 volts during a boost scenario? Or does the PCM not even check for that.
