Guys most of you know, If you read the boards, ’ve been wanting to go turbo from the time I got my Viper. Although this 10sec N/A street car setup I have has been kicking ass, is rock solid and a TON of fun to drive, I have to wonder, if it’s a shame to pull this car apart.
Some of you (Paolo, V4C,RickSRT-10 and King_Sadi) know, that my goals are not so simple. Build a Street-able (ie can be driven to local race events). Viper that will goto Bonneville and hit 300mph. To do this requires ripping my ACR down to the frame and starting from nothing.
I cringe every time I think about pulling the body off, strip it to the frame and hacking away. Then I have to rip the fuel tank and system out, brakes, re-wire harnesses, do a huge build on the motor, Turbos, drive-train ect ect ect….this isn’t something that is going to take a year to build…more like 3.
This brings me to 3 choices that I can think of.
1.) Hack up my ACR
2.) Sell my ACR, then buy a wrecked Viper and start from nothing
3.) Sell my ACR, then buy a race prep’d car and turn it into a street/track monster.
What would you do if you were in my shoes. #3, is the best IMOP.

I would go for the second option, or even just a high mileage clean car and tear it apart.

Oh and doesn't a car technically have to of ran a 10 to be called a 10 second car? Curious because although your close I still haven't seen or heard of you in the 10's yet. Am I mistaken.

While that is a valid poit, 11.1@131 w/1.8 60ft time, shows the car has more than enough power to hit a high 10's.
Just because I haven't hit it, doesn't mean the car can't do it. It's more about me not launching the car hard enough off the line. Give the car to 1Tony1 and I bet you would see 10.80 or better.
As far as the rest of his post, we should take it to AG, if he thinks he wants to shit talk, I'd be more than happy to give a beat down. This is not the section for that type of post. You would think someone with that many posts would know better.

Kingsnake, while I appreciate your support in the past, you are way out of line on this thread. Disturbed is a passionate Viper owner and has aspirations and an itchy tweaker gene that won't be denied. Why insult him and criticize his personal life? How does a man have pumpkin tits? This doesn't make sense to me at all. Besides, Disturbed is a personal friend of mine and I know for a fact that he is a really high quality guy.
Disturbed, it seems a shame to build a car in one direction then pull a u turn and go in the other direction. Your car is rather mint and it seems a shame to rip it up. Why not take your time, put some cash away and find a Viper that you can get into at a low price? You can take your time and build it up from scratch. What's the rush? If you need a trailblazer for owning more than one Viper, use me as an example. Maybe then, your wife won't beat you up too badly. Have you been drilling and thrilling her to King Sadi manual specs? This is the key to keeping her passified, especially during outlandish purchases.
