Noob here looking to buy a viper with some questions

Hello everyone! I am looking to get into the viper world with my first viper and I have a few questions. I am curious about the differences between the 1996's thru the 1999's. I will be building a turbo kit for it and I would like to buy the one with the strongest stock motor possible as it will be tough to rebuild the motor for a little while. I have been told that the 97's have the strongest engine but wasn't really sure why or if that was even true to begin with. Any problems with these cars that I should look for when buying one? 96-99 have the forged motors which you want for boost. I don't think there is any difference between them. Good luck.
