Bump for a great deal on this setup.

How can you tell it's the wrong size clamp ? Also, to me it doesn't look like the tape is built up. It looks like it was there for protection from cutting the line. It is pretty much exactly as they come from Roe* except Roe has a piece of heat shrink over the clamps/end.

*I'm not sure if Roe leaves or uses tape when they cut their lines

At first glance, it appeared that it was folded over itself. Perhaps that's not why it's there, but I can see no reason why you would leave tape on the end of the line.
I haven't cut a ton of braided line, but the only time I've used tape is when using a fine-tooth hacksaw blade. Otherwise, I used a compressor driven, fine cutting wheel and had no problems with the ends fraying.

Even so, using tape (right or wrong) is a very common practice. When I cut braided with a air cutting wheel I use electrical tape. The tape comes off because I am putting AN ends on it.
In this picture, the tape does not help nor hinder the performance of the connection. IMO
It's not pretty but it's not seen either.

Really, my point is .... It's not worth: pointing out, dissing a tuner, posting pictures of. Certainly not over and over
Were there worse things done on this build ?? Maybe, but I got tired of hearing of those long ago too.
I'm happy that Kenny is now happy....and I believe I speak for 95% of Viper guys that know the story.

And now I have OT'd Twinvipers thread like Kenny did. My apoligies !!
