Gen2 with extra vents on the hood

Hello VA,

I wanted to know car with extra vents on the hood made their car run cooler. Please post which parts and where you got it. I am trying to make the car run little cooler and hoping extra vents will do it.

In short, no, it won't work. You need to actually modify the cooling system to lower temps. Crazy, huh?

Yes, it will cool the car better, but PLEASE don't hack up your OEM hood. You can buy one from AutoForm, already painted for about what you'd spend adding louvers and painting yours.

The vents help keep under the hood temps down not engine temps. In order to get the engine temps down you need to be modify the cooling system like turbosam6 said. So if you want to get your temp down looking into the thermostat, radiator, water pump, and fascia ducts.

Oh by the way please dont go at your hood with a saw. Those things are expensive.

There is noway I'll heck up any part of my Viper. I was thinking about getting svs hood and just wanted to get some feed back.
