GTS Production numbers

Hey guys, I have done some searches and can't seem to find the breakdown of production numbers of GTSs by year and color.Everybody seems to know "Number 23 of 38 done in this color this year". Where is this mysterious info kept?

I believe there is an area on the VCA where they have all the total production numbers listed. If you are talking about finding out exactly which number your car is of the total number in a specific color combo, i'm not sure about that.

I don't really care WHICH number my car is, just how many black GTS's were produced in '97. Would also like to know how many GTSs were produced in total. Wonder how many are left. Maybe that would be a good thread.

the answer is ZERO. In 97, the coupes came in blue/white or solid red (no stripes) only. First year for black GTS was 99.

Thanks for the info, guys. I am rebuilding a car that has a yellow hood, red doors and roof, black 1/4 panels, silver tail, blue side sills. I have always wanted a black GTS and I paint so it will end up black. Don't really care what it does to the value by changing the original color (red) I just want to drive it and enjoy it. Unless I run into another nut like me, I guess there won't be too many other 97 black GTSs. Oh, someone gave me -24 rep for some reason. Did I do something to piss someone off? On this forum that isn't too hard to do.

Dude, you will never set that record..as I recall, BM was in the negative 400s at one point and I think he was only in second place. LOL

....and if you are looking to own a rare viper, you are already there. You have the only viper in the world with that color combo

Now I must admit I am a little disappointed. I know I am not on here enough to really set any REAL records and that one looked like a real possibility. Flaming the entire group might get me somewhere or I could just pose as a 'vette owner who can beat anyone's car!! Maybe the flaming thing might get me kicked from the forum so I guess I will just have to think of something else.
