Any ideas? I have a friend who has a set of used SVS headers for sale off his GTS. I was thinking about putting some Belangers on my Gen II ACR but these are going to be less. Are they about the same as far as sound/HP gain?
Going to SVS for headers is like ordering sushi at Mcdonalds.
Balengers are fit perfect and the best. Only header that
won't melt your engine bay without shields. Steel/Alumacoated.
They might be in the race for the next best thing, but when
a guy builds headers for a living, you've got a time tested proven product.
Lou if this makes you a million, I want my cut.
I can't see spending that kind of money on a header for a GenI/II that is moving closer and closer to collector status. My 97 has about one or two more track seasons in it then it is moving into poser mode.
But I would be interested to see how much my laps times improved with a set of headers. Anybody wanna go in halvsies with me, let me run them for a year or two and then take them?

Between the SVS, B&B, and Belanger, there is no comparison in the quality to the fabrication of the SVS with Burns merge collectors.
The B&B and Belanger are much lower quality, high volume product compared to the hand fabricated SVS headers.
I had a set of SVS headers on my car for a long time and they were great.
Anybody having a problem with the plug wires and/or airbox did not put the proper shielding or did something stupid.
I have a set of 1.5" stepped to 1 and 5/8" SVS headers available for purchase with cats attached. The car made 472 RWHP and 510 RWTQ on a 97 GTS with 1.7 T&D's.
Please call me @ 630-878-3907 for pricing.

Paolo, You cannot put the SVS headers on WITHOUT MODIFYING the heater airbox. There is not enough room for the box, the header comes up into where the airbox goes. There is no room for the # 4 plug wire without using longer wires and different routing.

I have a set of SVS headers and agree they are high quality. I didn't have to modify my airbox or wires but it's a very tight fit. It started to melt the box a bit but nothing major and hasn't gotten any worse.
Please don't say things that you know nothing about.......Belangers ARE NOT a high volume manufactured product!! They ARE hand fabricated by Lou Belanger himself! They ARE the headers chosen by Dodge for the 2008 Viper because they had NO failures in the exhaustive (no pun intended) testing with most of the "other" headers out there that failed because they cracked due to poor manufacturing.........you can make up your mind when you know all the facts!
