i just received a new OE waterpump, gaskets and a lower thermostat delivered from Tators, $545 ($60 was shipping)
Chuck reckons its about a days work to swap, removing the hood and a few other bits to make the task easier, draining the system swapping the parts then putting it all back together
Chuck is taking into the account that your British. He figures you'll have to finish a pint before you even start and continue adding a pint every hour on the hour until it's done.
finally got around to getting it swapped on sunday, took about 4 hours all in
with the thremostat change. The plastic impellar is pressed onto the shaft, it had come loose and wasnt spinning
Just for future reference in case someone else reads this for overheating problems, besides all the stuff previously listed in this forum the overheating and spilling of water in the overflow tank can be caused by a faulty radiator cap. I replaced my radiator cap with the anodized cap once and it was causing air to come into the system as it would release it's pressure valve to early.
