Gen II gear info...may help or may not

I was bored so here may be some useful info...what gear do you want. I am deciding between a N/A build with bolt-ons, A ROE with bolt-ons, or possily a TT down the road.
with stock gear ratios the speed in gears is as follows this is shifting a 5500 rpm's:
3:07
1st - 53mph
2nd - 78
3rd - 108
4th - 140
5th - 188
6th - 100mph = 2000rpm's

3:55
1st - 46mph
2nd - 68
3rd - 93
4th - 121 / at 6Krpm = 130
5th - 164
6th - 2k rpm = 87 & 1700rpm = 75 mph

3:73
1st - 43mph
2nd - 65
3rd - 89
4th - 115 / 125 @ 6k rpm's
5th - 156
6th - 2K = 83 mph / 1700 rpm = 71 mph

3:33 @ 5500 RPM

1st - 49
2nd - 73
3rd - 100
4th - 129
5th - 174
6th - 2k rpm = 95mph / 1500 = 70mph

Literally just a few minutes ago, I finished reinstalling the differential back into my '01 ACR after having a 3.55 r&p installed in it..! Hopefully tomorrow there'll be enough warm weather to start breaking it in and feel the luuunge.

I've already calculated the max MPH in 4th @ 6000 rpm, and know that I'll still have plenty of MPH vs RPM for the 1/4 mile..especially with 27.5" M/T Drag Radials - once they actually start building them.

My poor little creampuff ACR has already responded to homemade mods so well that it was reminding me of back when I installed the 3.73s in my Gen 1...

Now after adding the 3.55s, I can't imagine the difference it'll make ! But the onset of Winter may force me to wait until Spring/Summer before I can really expect enough traction to see the gain.

You will not be disappointed. I've driven several with the stock gear and the 3.55, and it's a world of difference. One big thing is the usability of 6'th gear. Now, I can leave it in 6'th just to pass someone on the highway or if I'm down around 45 MPH, and it doesn't seem like too low of a gear as before. Also, now the way it pulls through each gear is great.

I think that if you are gonna do a power adder esp twins, that the stock gearing would be able to make better use of all that power.

I was doing research and thought it would be good info....
what about a "stock" genII with 3:73's and slicks...could probably run 11.7 @ around 118

just give a 60' with slicks...not much on the top end, but not much invested to get the number either

Got out with the new 3.55 today which just may be the last driving day before Spring to put some break in miles on it while I could. Roads were cold, ambient about 45deg..predictably there was no traction in second as the revs picked up.

Ah well, there's always something to work on over the Winter..! Especially now that the gear is going to be increasing air demands on the intake side.

I already have a mod in mind to address that problem
