cheap intake tubes?

eBay Motors: 92-2002 Dodge Viper Dual Polished Tube Air Intake NEW (item 250182298931 end time Nov-07-07 04:35:47 PST)

i was looking at this item a while back and my brother and i were thinking that this would be like a HOT air intake rather than cold as the filters appear to sit BEHIND the radiator rather than on top or in front. Wouldnt this setup cause hp loss? Or would it be better than a regular intake with just k&n filters?

You're you and your brother are right. It'd suck hot radiator air.

We made a divider out of an aluminum sheet. Kept the hot air away from the filters.

Drawing air in any manner from under the hood contradicts all normal high performance thinking. It'd drive okay, but technically there'd be a slight HP loss.

Hey Junior, how'd those track times go this weekend? Care to post up someone else's time slips and some bullshit stories for us to laugh at. But since I didnt want to stray too far off topic to another one of your ridiculous rookie threads I figured I should contribute a little. Take that economy sized tub of BONDO you have and bridge a few handfuls of it of it over the radiator shroud and create a straight shot right into your throttle bodies with leaky intake. Did you JB Weld up the intake yet? We all know your cheap ass wasn't going to actually fix it the "right" way. What did you take us for? dumb as you?
I suppose the meth epidemic has engulfed your town too huh?
