+1, i noticed that the tires seemed a little low on air, but could just be the angle i suppose since i dont normally lay on the pavement and look at tires.
Yah guys...I forgot to tell you...tires have 35psi...it's just that with the slammed suspension....the wheels are getting crushed into the fender wells and something has to give...causing the side walls to bulge....they are not low. trust me.
At my old house a guy had a similar issue and what he did was lay a section of 2" PVC pipe in the gutter and has asphalt poured over it to eliminate the gutter. Not sure how that'll fly in your area though.
I had to re-do my approach to the driveway....cheap insurance to keep low profile cars from damage.....I had the contractor break out 20 feet and pour a new approach that is very low to the street....cost was $1200.00.
Dude I was waiting for your answer....too bad you are not over here...don't you do this shit for a living??
LOL, not exactly. We do more highway design, but we always have to deal with driveways, intersections, etc. when we are doing large scale developments and such. Back in the day I worked for a firm that also did municipal work so I know how Townships can be.
I made some crude measurements today and determined that using 7' ramps front the street to the driveway would allow me to enter without scraping. There is a 4" gap between the top of the tape and the gutter or lowest point on the driveway/street. What about using some light weight ramps for a tractor/bike etc? Does anyone make anything with a support in the center of a ramp that would be approx 4" that would support 1. weight 2. width of tires??? What about something like this: Aluminum ramps from Lite Aluminum Products
I have used them on and are installed on my F-350, with no load on the truck, they are not used and its give a stock ride. When I have heavy loads on the trailer behind it will raise the rear of truck(under load) 2 to 8 inches depending on how much air I put in it. It is a easy install ...most trailer hitch businesses install them if you don't want to.
1: Lower your car too much to the point where it won't go up your driveway
2: Need to post a thread about getting ideas on how to take up a 1-2 inch lip at the end of your driveway.
It's called wood, home depot carries it from time to time.
