Yep. Looks great new but does start to wear. It's also a BITCH to clean!
I use a mop and murphys oil soap to get mine looking good. I believe Zen told me he uses simple green diluted or something like that. Should give the garage a clean scent too.
Here are a few older pic's I had. I'll try and take a few this weekend.
Nice stable, The pic on the right reminded me of looking at a revolver from the front!
For a Viper you want a 4 post lift, unless you plan on doing a lot of work to it. Most 2 posts don't go high enough to comfortably park under it and you have to set the lift pads JUST SO or you'll crush the side sill. Plus the 2 post has the posts right where you open the door. A lowered Viper is damn near impossible to get the lift arms under so you resort to jacking it or driving up on boards.
I have a 2 post myself, the old Challenger I used at the dealership. They were remodeling and replacing all the lifts, so I bought mine for $500.

Who should I buy a Revolution lift from? The manufacturer, or is there a discount from a dealer?
David, just call Rotary lifts and order it direct. There isn't any discount I am aware of elsewhere. Rotary makes revolution in case you didnt know. Ask for Donny. He is the Rev. Salesman, and a hell of a nice guy. Only discount I think they ever ran was when the VCA did a group but a LONG time back. Such a fucking nightmare trying to coordinate 15-20 guys to send in their 3-4k checks to process the order. People were on vaca, forgot to send it, changed their minds, bullshitted.... who knows but I paid regular price and had mine in 3 weeks.
Just the lift, but I installed one of these for a customer. Made by Gemini in Ft. Worth and mainly for storage. With a 12 ft. ceiling, you can raise it high enough to park an SUV below.
This one is rated for 4500lbs and they also make one rated at 7500lbs. This customer also got the supplemental jacks, to get the wheels off the rack for tire changes...
Thanks. How tall are our Vipers? 48"? I'll need to fit the 1996 over the '08 and want to figure out the height to the garage door motor. I've got 8'8" to it without moving it.

If you back the top car onto the lift it should be fine because the motor will be hanging above the hood and the taller portion (the roof) will be behind the garage opener. This is the only way you can do it w/o raising the motor or removing the opener. You can also scrap the standard opener for one that mounts to the wall above the door. Kind of pricey considering they usually require you change ALL the tracks as well.
Kelly, the lift in your pic looks uneven. Is that normal?
I have low clearance in my garage because of a huge beam going across the ceiling. FYI and I post in case anyone is considering the garage door opener change, I have a Wayne Dalton IDrive model that was an ABSOLUTE BITCH to install (I mean VERY bad to install) that will kill the standard chain type. I can post pics if anyone is interested in installing one or talk via phone if needed. It will give you an additional foot of clearance from the traditional garage door opener. My problem is my beam that goes down 15 inches from my ceiling and with the installation of a lift, I can't even raise my car up all the way to stand underneath. All that considered, I might still get one anyhow so it can be 4 foot off the ground allowing me to use a sliding stool or the like as I work. Kind of Ghetto, but with my beam it sucks to have a nice epoxyed garage with cabinets, Matco box, air tools and the like and the damn beam

Now that the prices of virtually everything are going up and up and now that thousands of people are losing their jobs everyday as the US goverment still hands out 10,000+ checks to those people just getting off the boat, I think I will take a boat ride and get in line, I sure could use the money to pay for the gas in my Viper and GTO!

Gary, If the beam is supported with a column running perpendicular to it down the center of the garage, like many have. I bet the portion of the beam which runs across the cars space could be cut out and raised up to regain the 15" of space.
(Of course this option leaves you with a beam to smack doors into.)Again, not the most cost effective thing in the world. Not sure being able to go up an extra 15" is going to make all the difference in the world either if now you can only get 48" of clearance under the car with it raised up.
Worth considering because obtaining 5ft of space under the raised vehicle should be plenty to park any sedan type vehicle under it should you need to.

For the single post lifts, YES. When it's empty, it's angled. With a vehicle, it's level. This is the lift I will put in my next personal house. Much more everyday friendly to manuever around.

I have a beam running perpendicular to the cars in my garage as well. However, it sits right where the cowl of the car is, so it does not cause any issues. Depends where it is in the ceiling.
As for a side mount garage door opener, a Liftmaster Jackshaft also works and opens the door with the mechanicals on the side of the door.
