I recently sold my 2001 RT-10 for $42K (only had 9K miles) and I am looking to purchase a 1997 GTS with a Paxton supercharger. Put down 600wheel hp and has been on the car for abour 2K miles. Red in color. Car is in great shape no damage or accidents of anykind. He wants $42K.. The only reason I sold my RT-10 was to get a GTS (I love the ass end of them so much more). Im having a hard time Justifying the price when I just sold mine with 10K less miles and 4 years newer.. suggestions or comments??
A GTS, in great shape per your post, under 20k miles (also deciphered from your post), with a Paxton set-up for $42k..........sorry, what are you having trouble justifying?
Pull the trigger.......what would it have cost you (over and above the selling price of $42K) to Paxtonize your 01 RT-10? If the GTS is what you say it is.....it's a no brainer!
i would never put a spend the money to put a paxton on the rt-10. I really didnt care for the rear end of the RT. My trouble justifying the same price for a car the is 4 years in age difference with 10K more miles. Do the GTSs hold value that much more then the RT-10s or am I missing something? the supercharger doesnt add any value like most aftermarket mods.

I have a 97 GTS, granted it only has 7700 miles on it, but I wouldn't let it go for $42K. Even if I pulled off all the mods and I'm not super charged. If what you say is all correct, I'd say the GTS if worth more like $50k or at least damn close to it. If the body, paint and interior are nice, buy it.
everyone wants these insane prices for these cars. Its book value is $36,000!!
"Book" is seldom been an accurate reflection of limited production sports cars? While you may find a deal if you are patient, the likelyhood of finding a sub-20k mile GTS, regardless of year, in excellent condition for book are slim.
If you doubt our input, show us some good condition, sub-20k mile GTS's at book?
like I said before.. everyone wants high prices for the cars so its kinda hard to show you that. But from what I see, they are not selling at these numbers.. I understand they are a limited prod. vehicle but so are the Z06 vettes.

A high price would be in the high 50s for a GTS , normal pricing is in the mid to high 40s.
