I just want Gary to start a thread on how to take pictures like he seems to be able to consistenty get. Most of his pics are poster material. I have had my Viper since 2001 and still don't have a decent picture of it!
Gary,
I guess that write-up and the videos were OK.................HA
Simply Awesome
The teaser vid reminds me of some concerts and band DVD's where at the beginning they show you a highspeed run of the load in and, sound check, then the beginning of a show.
It would appear that the blackish looking surface is allot smoother than the brownish green surface. What do you say you stay on the blackish surface next time. Awesome write up and videos, I did notice that your eyes stayed pretty calm looking through the whole off-road excursion. Thanks for sharing. Ed
Great showing for team heffner. You beat some records your first time out but unfortunately there were a couple of competitors who also beat those records. That GT is awesome and Gary did a great job shifting and putting the power down.
Gary, I swear you are better at capturing the moment in words, photos, and video than anyone I have seen. Your personality and skills are aparent. Thanks for putting together an awesome chronical of your trip.
I was talking to my wife the other day and told her that we need to get some video of the Viper doing burnouts (improper starts, some of you will get that) and just some kool, all-around shots and drive-bys. I shit you not, "Kickstart" was going to be the song for my vid so when I heard that, I thought to myself, "mo-ther-fuck-er....that was the song I was gonna use." Bad-ass video nonetheless and glad to see there was no real damage to you and the car.
I think I made need a new "lawnmower" soon.

Your buddy Karl here is going. We can't be no normal family with him living in the garage and comin' in the damn bedroom at 4:00 in the morning, carryin' hammers and shit.
Cody - Nice shop. Too bad you weren't there, but I will see you in Bradenton.
Peter - Sure was nice to meet you. It looks like we will be participating in your event. See you there.
K-80 - Look forward to seeing you in March. You will have a blast.
Ed - Yeah, the slide was weird. I thought I would be petrified, but it was no big deal. For a moment, I though about pulling back out on the airstrip and ripping off the rest of the pass. I remember thinking, "I bet I could hit 200mph from here." I decided against it because I wasn't sure if the body was hurt, and we would probably get grass all over the track. It would have made for a cool run though.
z06 - Sorry I stole your song.
Insomniac - Thanks, but there was no skill to avoiding damage. Once the car left the pavement, it was blind luck that kept me out of trouble. I just happened to leave the track at a spot where there was nothing to come in contact with. At these power levels, disaster is just a split second away. I have come to terms with this. Our team has come to terms with this.
