M/T ET Street Radial (drag radials)

Anyone tried these tires on a supercharged or TT car?
They now have our sizes, and looks like they have more sidewall (35 series, compared to BFG's 30).

They don't make the 345/35 yet. That's what that little mark next to the tire size means..

I just called them yesterday, they said Cooper make tires for M/T and a plant was recently closed in the East.

Once things get moved and back online, M/T will start production of those tires.

Spring of '08 is the forecast...

ill definately try the 18's when they come out. Hoosier dr's are the best in 17's, I wish they made 18" dr's...

I've tried the the 315-35-17 MTs on CCWS, and sold them.
I could hook third gear on about 1100 rwhp (17 lbs.) with controllable spin at 80 mph , (dead hook at 1000 rw)and 23 lbs. after 130 mph.
In 2nd gear I would spin on 10 lbs. of boost.no matter what
Oh, and that was on 17 lbs. of air on them.
looking for somethig that can hold 24 lbs. on third

Problem with all these DRs is that they are 25.4 inches tall....

i have been talkin to mt on the phone since jan every month and finally the told me on oct 1 that they will have the tires ready to ship on oct 29 i have already pre-orderd them so if you are sure about spring 08 im gonna get my money back. when i ordered them they were in the computer so that usually means that they will be ready soon.

The 345/35/18s have been on the MT website with the asterisk for about 2 yrs now.. Whoever I talked to yesterday said they're looking at Spring 08.

Knowing they know how to make tires, I asked what the production problems mentioned in the email I got from them were...he went on about one of the Cooper plants closing - which is what the delay is.

I hope they've got their timetable right this time..because those 27.5 inch tall DRs are the last piece in my puzzle before I head for the strip next year !

Might be a way to go ! Lots of people do well on the Purners. I think you can put a nice sticky slick in those..

I want to avoid the slicks/skinnies route myself-just to keep it real for my testing purposes.

But I'm not going to wait forever for M/T's production troubles to get sorted out. My ACR isn't quite ready for the strip, and Winter's almost here..so I can wait a bit. There's still the 3.55 r&p and the reed valves (?) to install..plenty of time to get that done before Spring 08.

But I hope something's ready from M/T by then cuz this Creampuff is already WAY quicker than my 11.80 '99 GTS was and I'm going to want and need max traction to get the ETs I'm hoping for. It feels like there is a Roe under the hood now since the mods have begun to come together.

The newfound power is kind of limiting the places I usually lean on it a bit now that it gathers speed so quickly and aggressively compared to stock.. I can't wait to see what a 3.55 is going to do for acceleration (!)

..........

Me too !

I just sold my slightly used 18" BFGs about 2 months ago having heard better things about M/Ts from other brand car forums..and I like the M/Ts being taller by almost 1.5"..

We'll see what Spring brings I guess
