Need help big time!!!
Took the day off of work to fix the passenger side window problem (it quit going up/down). Found that the window came out of its track which probably occurred when I hit a nasty pot hole. Have the door panel off, window back in its track...but noticed that the cables that raise/lower the window are loose.
I have one of the cables back to where it needs to be, problem is that there is a long cable that seems to go up to the top of the door portion on the glass, and I felt that there is a pulley up there that I am going to guess the cable wraps around and comes back down? I found what appears to be a cam like device inside the bottom of the door that the end of the cable goes into...but I do not want to muck things up unless I know that this is how it is supposed to be as that cable is coming up short in reaching where it needs to go.
ANY and ALL help on this would be appreciated. I called the nearest Viper dealer, and they were no help other than telling me that a window regulator would cost $500.00 + as they would not bother with trying to fix what is there. Shit, talk about Viper tax!!!
