I talked to Brian a few minutes ago via text message. He seems to be in pretty good spirits. He said that they found NO sign of any heart disease, but they believe he tore an artery in his heart which caused some bleeding and a clot...causing the heart attack.

He is as hilarious as ever, so he must be doing ok. He thinks he'll be out very soon. They have to run a camera down his throat this afternoon to check some things, but if all goes well, they may release him tomorrow.

Everyone keep your fingers crossed.

Update!! Last night around 7:00 p.m. the doctor came in and said that the tests didn't show anything and that he still didn't know where the blood clot came from but that he wanted to try a couple tests on the arms and legs for blood clots. Later on that night Doctor came back in and said they found several blood clots in his leg. The same leg that had been injured back in college. PRAISE GOD now we know where it's coming from, so they are trying figure out what to do to make the clotting stop in the leg! Please keep him in your Prayers! Doctor told Brian he's going to keep him at least 2 more days. THANKS for all your support. Thanks again Brady

Great to hear they know the source. Knowing it half the battle. Hoping for a speedy recovery.

Dear Alley members, thanks so much for all the prayers and well wishes. This whole ordeal has been a total shock to me. As of now the tests that I had late last night showed that I have a blood clot in my left knee. This is the knee that I had crushed when I was ran over and crunched in between two cars in college (Long story short I came upon a rape taking place and broke it up then the dude ran me over later on that night.) Anyway, back in June the knee started giving me problems again. I found out that I had a torn miniskis sp? I also had some bleeding etc..... The doctors have now determined that the blood clotting has come from this damaged knee. The test also showed that I was born with a hole in my heart which turned out to be a huge blessing. A blood clot came from the knee traveled to my chest and instead of hitting me in the brain ( which would have caused a stroke or death) it went in the hole in the heart and got in to the arteries then landed at the tip of an artery blocking it off and causing a heart-attack. Thankfully it was very minor and I received very little to no damage. Biggest problem right now is the blood clots in the knee. They are giving me a large amount of blood thinners to try and dissolve this. They are making me stay at least 2 more days. I will probably have to be on blood thinners for 6 months or better. Scary thing is I'm not out of the woods yet. If one of these blood clots breaks loose I could be a goner so please everyone keep praying. Again, I offer a heart felt THANKS to all of you for your support. The Lord has already blessed me in ways I can't comprehend. It's a miracle that I'm even alive.

I now have my laptop here at the hospital so at least I can check in.

Brian it is good to hear that they have found the source of the problems. I guess the good news was you were not out in the wood hunting where you could have gone down for ever. You are blessed in so many ways .... great family, and great friends who are very concerned about your health and well being. Keep heading for that clearing in the woods and get out into good health.

I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Get plently of rest and take care.
