I thought the reason for people leaving the VCA site and starting Viperalley was to escape the draconian moderating at the time, not to establish a place completely without decorum.

Just how are these "kits" as far as reliability, longevity, etc? I hear and read all kinds of talk about PCE, yet never see an actual owner step up and say I have x amount of miles on mine. Mine goes xxx ET. Nothing. Real world data from real world use. Not a weekend drive or cruise.
So do these things actually exist, as in used in the real world? Or do they just exist "on paper"?

First of all it is CPE. Second the thing just got finished 2 weeks ago and has not failed yet. So it is safe to say it will last 2 weeks. Third what kind of real world #'s would you like? The only installed system is on a car that he is driving around to get used to it before he takes it to the track. So my ever so humble reply to you would be if you are interested in buying one call Paolo 630-878-3907 if you are not interested then you STFU. My experience:
The prototype CPE TT car has 8,000 mi. and many of those were highway pulls in excess of 200 mph.
I was in that car and personally witnessed what very few people on this board will have ever experienced... 200 mph. The car pulled like a freight train with serious authority and was smooth as glass.
Jay thanks for the more politically correct answer, but that was the front mount (which is still available) not the new side mount. But yes Johns car is allot of fun to drive. Ed

I tried to be humble but oh well. Here it goes. Lets just say that almost every piece that requires any type of cutting, welding, thought process, machining process that it is infact done by myself. Paolo is great at coming up with ideas and I am the one who perfects them. I have been doing this for a long time and he accepts his limitations. He learns more everyday and someday will be a great fabricator himself. He just has to high of standards to weld this stuff and try to sell it. He asks more questions than anyone I have ever met to the point it drives me nuts sometimes. And yes he knows this. So I guess that qualifies me to answer your questions. The thing I don't get is your reasoning for asking them. Are you interested in buying one/ I highly doubt it. So what is your motive. As far as letting him stand or fall himself I agree but you have to understand I have a vested interest in his success. If you need answers call him and don't mess up his thread. The CPE turbo setup in this thread is a smokin deal in comparison, as is the stuff Heffner and UGR are doing as well. Buy from your preferred vendor of the 3, all of em seem pretty damn good at very reasonable prices to me!
