Audio needs help

Got a 94 Viper and the stereo is pretty bad in it. Tried a bunch of things, still sounds bad..... Does anyone have a solution to getting a good sounds stereo. I don't need earth-quaking...just decent. Any good subs...boxes...kits out there? Thanks for any help!

Vipers pre-2003 have no depth so it's hard to get a nice speaker with a big magnet in there that can provide good sound. Some JL combos that I have heard over the years have been alright. Lots of others as well, just stay away from the 10000 watt 5.25 speaker that Wallmart, etc, sells.

Thanks.... I am gonna probably go see a JL tech and try to get something a little better sounding. Anyone ever hear of putting a sub in the passenger side foot-well under the dash?
