Static stickers

I was asked last week to display my car at a benefit. The coordinator asked me if it had "race" stickers on it (I know, it's the perks of being an owner of a v) and I said, uh, no. Any of you know where someone can purchase "static" stickers that don't stick but can be thrown away. I don't have to do it, but my office is one of the primary sponsors. I commented by saying "don't worry it looks fast just sitting there". Any good links?

Re: Static stickers

"Zoomie" (aka Mark Chatterton) on the dot org site uses static stickers on his car to advertise his Viper rental business. You might want to drop him a note to ask where he gets his from.

Re: Static stickers

You might check with some of the local speed shops to see if they have
a few loaner stickers with the backing on. Pick up some of the 3M (?)
spray adhesive - or something similar that is temporary, to get the backing
to stick, and remove them after the event. Also check with some of the
banner sign shops - they love a challenge.

Re: Static stickers

Anywhere that makes custom vinyl graphics should be able to do static stickers, it works the same way, just a different type of vinyl. Ask anybody in your area who races where they get their numbers cut and so on, and they should be able to hook you up. There is also a common vinyl that has a very mild glue for temporary racing decals.
