Looking for a lift...

I am looking for a lift. But not just any lift. I am looking for a lift that will fit a 8 foot ceiling and a 9 foot width footprint.

Any suggestions?

I think most of the home type lifts will work. I have an Eagle lift and it has been flawless and it has been used/used/used. The key is to use it with a creeper type chair. The only disadvantage is you won't be able to get another car under it, or it will be very close.

I believe if you are looking for a 4 post lift, you will have quite a few to choose from. If you are looking for a 2 post, I have not seen one that will work. Most of the low profile 2 posts take 10' to fit. I think mine is right at 9' 10" or close to it, and I have a 10' 2" ceiling height. The viper goes to the very top without hitting the ceiling.

So basically, you do realize that with a short vehicle on it like the viper you are only going to gain a maximum 3 or so feet under the car with the lift raised right. And that is assuming you removed or dont have a standard garage opener above the door traditionally mounted. If you do you are only getting maybe 2 feet of clearence... I have a revolution 4 post lift in my garage and love it but for you it wouldnt make sense. If you are only looking to get 2-3 feet of lift then they do make a lift by someone, it slips my mind that can accomplish just that.

I have a 4 post , It's 9,000lb capacity and 90" of clearance for wide vehicles. The only downside is I have to place 2x10's under the loading ramps for the vipers....they need the slow grade to avoid bottoming out; but everything else is fine.
