I hope so. I picked up the '03+ M/C today at O'Reillys and it didn't come with a reservoir.
Odd that you can get a reman M/C for '92-'00 and '03-'06 but they don't list anything for '01-'02. If the '03+ is the same as '01-'02, why wouldn't they list those years also?
Better check the Dodge P/Ns before you disassemble anything. I'm going from memory of threads from the mORGue and there is a *remote* possibility I'm mistaken.
The non-ABS reservoir will not fit on an ABS M/C. The ports are spaced 3/8" farther apart on the ABS M/C. So, off to the dealer for a reservoir.
I may be having second thoughts on doing this swap anyway. The reason I wanted to do it was I didn't think I was getting enough fluid volume/pressure to the rears after doing the front to rear caliper swap. But I did a couple hard brake checks the other day and, for the first time, it felt like the rears locked up before the fronts. The factory prop. valve has been disabled. I'm going to bleed the brakes again and do some more road testing before I decide.
I'm running the factory pads in the rear and I'm thinking a more aggresive pad might be the way to go. Then I can install my manual prop. valve and dial in the brake bias.
Keith,
I think you have air in the lines. We did the exact same thing to Matt's car and it works perfect. If you didn't install the prop valve and didn't have the rears lock up, you have air! You need the prop valve to turn down the rears, too much brake back there otherwise.
