I recently took a couple of cars to the Ford GT Rally in Newport Beach, CA and while I was having dinner at a local restaurant with a friend, someone decided to break into my truck and steal my laptop and my luggage filled with a lot of valuable things.
The worst part was losing my laptop because as you might imagine being the ultimate road warrior, my entire life is on that damned computer. I do back it up occasionally, but I lost all my contact information and worse, I lost all my recent emails from potential customers.
So, if you are wondering why I haven't contacted you about transporting your car, I apologize. If you still need my services you can email me at galmond@almondexotictransports.com or just call me at 240-994-1343.
Also, I just had a major coast-to-coast cancellation at the last minute. If you're looking to transport your car, feel free to give me a call, I have a few openings.
That sucks Gary. We could always hope the police will recover everything for you, but they're probably too busy writing J-walking tickets. Not sure what kind of cell phone you have, but my next one will have mega storage capability.
Thanks for the support guys! I really had delusions of finding the guy(s) walking down the street carrying my stuff, but that quickly faded. Some of the stuff was not replaceable (gifts I brought back from China for my family) but at least I was able to get a new laptop and start rebuilding right away.
It's a stretch - but maybe they will get ID'd trying to use the laptop.
Damn Gary, I suppose you lost all the #s of the hotties you've been collecting
coast to coast.
I know how that is Gary, my wife and I went out to eat after work on a Friday and some stole both of my laptops. Insurance replaced both less the deductible. I had no back up, one laptop was the back up for the other. What a pain in the ass getting new ones, and replacing lost data and fixing the broken lock on the truck.
Unfortunately my insurance doesn't cover stuff like that. To be honest, I didn't even report it to the cops. There's no chance it would be recovered anyway. The good news is that was the first break-in in about 550,000 miles. The other good news is that through the generosity of Steve Millen of Stillen Motorsports, my trailer was locked behind their fence at HQ at the time.
